Do you believe on the Steem?
The idea for this quote struck me this week after reading some posts about the blockchain technology, the collapse of regular social medias, the opportunities Steem gives and how lucky we are to be here early.
Sometimes we feel discouraged by the low prices, which may be a valid point for those who live of content creation, but is payout the only good thing it provides? How about the fact that this new technology is awakening a great sense of community? Or that it gives us hope against the big marketing companies on regular social medias? Or that here WE are responsible for maintaining our following base, and not some algorithm that limits our reach?
The certainty that Steem will be a success I can't give, however, I can tell that we'll either succeed if we truly believe in it; or we'll fail miserably. Either way if we dare to fail, we may stay long enough to see, so STEEEEEEM ON.

Hmmm I'm actually much more pessimistic than u :D I don't really feel like the GREAT sense is there. There for sure is sense. But let's be real. Any average facebook group with interest for the same thing has community comparable with steemit. At least that's what I feel. What Steemit really is doing great is IMO awakening the creativity and in generat creator's mind in people. Cuz suddenly you have to create something. You suddenly start making videos altho u never done so before..etc etc.That's the great thing about steemit. It makes people do stuff. I don't really believe in the community thing tho. People come and go as soon as their find someone new who gives them bigger upvotes.
Edit: I guess it's different for people who r part of some project, like e.g u and TF. Then u have the community circle among urself. But I don't believe that much that big communities are creating on the Steemit forefront based on tags etc.
I agree with you, however I don't know how's FaceBook doing these days, I don't have mine for 3 years now. I think that here, due to the reward system, it sure creates a sense of helping each other more (at least on the groups I participate)
Now, when you say that the Steem kicks our creativity, that's absolutely true! There are opportunities for everything: photography, text, video, sound, etc etc we can explore it all in one place. Plus, it'll get even better once the SMTs are out.
The general tags are just terrible, it's a mess of posts in there, impossible to find stuff. To conclude, I guess that a good part of the Steem happens on Discord. I participate on some groups that are just fantastic, promoting topics and encouraging the users - and it's open for eveyone!

The platform has plusses and minuses and for you to succeed emotionally, you have to forget about the financial incentive side. Treat Steemit as a place to create, to share and do what you like to fully enjoy it. The money is extra! And just think about the great thing called future! Just a while ago decentralised and crypto were too futuristic to even think of, now we are using it! We are part of it! Let the Steem fail because it will rise later!

Quanto ao conteúdo, eu partilho da sensação de pertença a uma comunidade nova, ao espírito de construção com algum pioneirismo, muita vontade e uma boa dose de preserverança. Aí está o potencial de valor do steemit e da steem. Não creio que este projeto acabe porque quem acredita nele fá-lo por motivos sólidos.

Heeey @isabelpereira, pegastes o espírito da Steem! Eu acredito que ela tenha um gigante potencial, pois abre muitas portas para explorar a criatividade, as possibilidades são enormes. As vezes temos momentos de desencorajamento, mas creio que àqueles que persistirem vão colher os frutos no futuro.
