From Tomboy Girl To Woman, Tales From The Wienerwald

Geschichten aus dem Wiener Wald by Ödön von Horváth

I was considered or lets say I saw myself as a typical tomboy girl when I was a teenager. I always preferred to hang out with the boys because their activities were so much more exciting. Femininity? I had no idea what this meant.

I talked, walked and dressed like a man. I had short hair, never wear high heels, make-up, hated dresses, motorbikes my passion beside jazz. I was in touch with the Yang more than the Yin, The Tao Te Ching

A woman is yin, and a man is yangImage Source

Achieving yin-yang balance helps you to stay healthy, happy and fulfilled. Everything in this world is a dualism. In it, you can always find yin and yang. The earth we live on is yin, and the sun that brings us warmth is yang. Sadness is yin, while joyfulness is yang. Generally, yin is passive, oppressed and feminine. Yang, on the other hand, is active, bright and masculine.Managing yin yang is something that we have to do all the time.Knowing how the yin and yang energies can be altered helps us to have a better control of reality. - Source

A tomboy is a girl who exhibits characteristics or behaviors considered typical of a boy, including wearing masculine clothing and engaging in games and activities that are physical in nature and are considered in many cultures to be unfeminine or the domain of boys.- Source Wikipedia

I was super bored of beauty chats and discussing fluffy dress-up tips with the girls. I hated gossip and actually still do. I changed over time and love my sisters I met over those past years but let me tell you where it all started  to feel like a real woman.

I was one of the unpopular ones at school, the weirdo sitting in the last raw in class with my black shades and fake fur around my neck. You wonder why? Me too :) I have no idea why I felt the urge to cover up. I didn't like to show my body, hiding behind long-sleeved shirts and pants. I had a smashing body, I can say this now because at matured age you can be proud of what you got when you were young. Right?

Once I was asked to go on some casting to earn a little extra cash, so I tried to become a part time model to earn a some pocket money every school girl  urgently needed.

What silly idea it was because every casting ended with the same story. "Take off your clothes and show what you got!"  They had no interest in my face but for sure in my boobs.

I don't blame them haha!

First Change from Yang to Yin

Maximilan Schell casted me in one of his movies "Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald" . Beside having a crush on the director, I had incredible fun with the experience to be a so called feminine " moviestar " for just a few minutes ( without being mentioned in the cast of course)

In Vienna, in 1930, a young woman falls in love with a gambler and leaves her fiancé, a common butcher. They become a couple and have a baby, but he gets bored and leaves them. Without means to support herself, her downfall begins.- Source IMDb

I finally started discovering another side about me, I never dared to embrace fully before my 30's and when some of those photos were taken.

I felt reborn. I am #proud2bewoman!

Enjoy this movie or play!

Stories from the Viennese Forest (1979) Drama, literary filming Running time: 95 min.

Tales from the Vienna Woods (German: Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald) is a 1979 Austrian drama film directed by Maximilian Schell. The film was selected as the Austrian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 52nd Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. It was the final film for veteran actress Lil Dagover who started her film career in the 1910.

Helmuth Qualtinger's interpretation of the Zauberkönig in Maximilian Schell's "Stories from the Wienerwald" has a more profound dimension than Hans Moser's grantelnd-misanthropic film from 1961.

It takes some time to grow up :)

Your story is amazing @mamasitta!!! I am also a tom-boy girl! At age 30, I am now starting to embrace that I am this way and not to change myself. I embrace my inner cabin boy!! I hate makeup and doing my hair, but luckily my hair looks good down with just a stylish cut. I also became a model - even though I always wanted to be a boy and never thought I would...and now I love being a woman! Congratulations on your accomplishments!! XO

Wow, Your are a stunning, young gorgeous lady and obviously also a very talented artist. The reason why I open up with a little piece of my secrets is my urge to inspire younger women and how long it takes sometimes to embrace our feminine soul. Live it UP little sister! I followed you and so nice to meet you

So nice to meet you too! May the younger women forgive themselves and give themselves time to bloom!!! :D (While never forgetting who they are and how much they love motorbikes!!!)

:) So sweet ! Yes, Thats what I meant in-between the line. Take time to bloom and don't fear those fast exciting, maybe dangerous rides of life.

Wow - what a woman! Racing Queen another Wow! You surprise me more each and every day! Awesome post!

You are a charming young man Uwe ! Danke Vielmals. I just said it to @framealife that I am blushing because I never exposed my privacy but if not now ? Then When ??? Haha

Young man, now i am blushing or think you just try to be nice! I think you were one of these ladies in my youth that would made me crazy lol! Love that post so much!

Oh No , I can tell you how many young men made me crazy though hahaha !!!

You are gorgeous @mammasitta! Would you mind if I used one of these pictures in a milestone post I'm doing? Trying to do mostly images and links, celebrating 10,000sp and 300+followers :)

That's so sweet of you ! Sure sure !!! Let's celebrate !

I just love your story and post! I can relate so much to this part of you! I never care much about girls stuff, in my teenage days, I used to wear my father's old sweaters and flannel shirts (as a great fan of Nirvana). Of course, I also learned how a "good" cleavage could bring attentions to you...wich I don't like either. I'm proud to be a woman, but sometimes it's hard!
Great photos, you're a sexy one!! :)

You put a smile on my morning face :) it's so winderful to share your own experience to hear that I am not "alone" . I am amazed how many comments I got from women who feel the same. Thank you for showering me with compliments. Feels good! 🌺

You're so welcome! It seems it's quite easy to find women on Steemit that don't fit in the "women stereotype"! (Maybe it's a pre-requisite to enter the crypto world!)

You got a point :) i find it tremendously appealing to learn more about cryptocurrency and the world around even though I try to loosen those guys up a little bit 😂 Too serious sometimes

That's a fun name ! I like it 😂🤗

Hillerious!!!
Can't believe you are my 62nd comment in this post

Great post -- that was a nice inside look and insight about who you are.

It is not always easy for some of us to talk about ourselves. You did a nice job here

Thanks for the inside look!

Hello Dear Barry! Its always nice to see you passing by. It was about time to show a little deeper side of myself without fear. I used to feel shy about any kind of exposure and talking about MY looks. Privacy is gold for me but this post was about Inspiration for all weak or even strong women who might struggle to be self-confident. I was one of those. I kept my strength to myself. I am only wise due to many years of experience and wish to share as my grandmother or other older ladies shared with me.

I think this will be my most favourite post of the day likely, for all those reasons you named. I felt that way when I was reading it!

I appreciated the depth to the post and what it meant to you.

Have a good week please!

Your words mean a lot to me . Thank you very very much. See you around Sir!

Great! Always a fan of Schell as an actor...now as director!

Watch the movie! Its cool. LUV HIM! I couldn't get over my crush for him for many years. He was an interesting, talented, gorgeous, talented, eccentric, awesome man but thinking back I am glad I don't know how he is in privacy to keep my dream .....hahaha

I will, I'm looking forward to it... I find that dream crushes are better as dreams! I had a huge crush on Veronica Lake who turned out drinking herself to death in her 50's. people seldom live up to their image!!!

What a beauty !!
Sometimes its better not too be too georgeous . For some women its like a curse and they loose themselves. so sad !

Oh my goodness !
Arn't you happy that steemit turns into a nice entertaining platform finally?
We can't be so serious all the time:) writing heavy stuff.
I am sorry I didn't find enough time to reply to your posts but I am still reading ! Just letting you know

Well, that's fine! I try to post a good old movie or two every week- just to keep the cultural level up!

I know you do :)

Tomboy but beatifull ! That's okay :) Keren ! :)

As nice as your boobs might be, your face is great too :) thanks for sharing!

OMG , Now I am really blushing but I thank you deeply from my 58 years young heart. :)

Hmmm, maybe I am a bit old school but what does this mean ? haha

Sehr cool. Das habe ich gerne resteemed :-)

Ach bist Du aber lieb !! Danke to help all women to be proud of themselves just the way we are. Its time for me to act as an inspiration and maybe even example. Life is a miracle and it takes time to find out who we really are.

Sehr gerne. Liebe Grüsse nach Wien :-)

Der Frühling und Sonne endlich angekommen . Ich genieße es voll
