@steemcamp Project: A Wakeup Call For Every Nigerian Steemian

in #promo-steem6 years ago (edited)

Something new, big and very special has just been commenced in Nigeria by one of the best initiatives to have surface from Nigerian Steemit community. @steemcamp as headed by that amazing steemian whose love for Steemit cannot be overemphasized, @michaelcj alongside his team members; @jacobite and @graface have finally kickstarted the highly anticipated event - Steem Camp.

Personally, I don't know @michaelcj or any of the @steemnaira members but coming across their works, I have seen how much they love this platform and how much they have sacrificed for the growth of Steemit in Nigeria. I am not here to talk about these events. You can read about the whole stuff right here or probably see how the Abuja audition went here. I am here to commend the efforts of these great steemians whose love for the platform has overwhelmed them.

Sometimes I wonder why these guys that are promoting Steemit with everything they have got haven't received the needed support from above to encourage them and see to success on their endeavors. But seriously, I believe these strong guys up there do see their efforts and are watching them just to come in at the right time.

Steemcamp Project is an eye opener

Many of us have this thought that the the responsibility of seeing this platform keeps growing solely lies on #promo-steem guys or the @steem-ambassador. However, Steemit is a decentralized community and that makes everyone responsible for everything that happens to the platform. Whether you are in Nigeria or any other place, it is our responsibility to work together to see this platform grow bigger and bigger in every aspect. We can make the price of Steem go up or make it go down beyond the imagination.

We have seen several reputable steemians such as @eurogee of @euronation, @nairadaddy of @air-clinic, @surfyogi of @wafrica, @ejemai of @stach and lot more. These guys are mentors for every Nigerian steemian (what am I saying... every steemian in general) and the Nigerian Steemit community is so lucky to have such devoted people.

It is my hope that the rest of us emulate these people and not just have this thought of cashing out our SBDs.

The future of Steemit is in our hands.
