Team Uganda Invaded Kyambogo Univerity With our New Steemit Shirts and Flyers..

I will start by thanking Steemian @achimmertems for the generous donation of 37 SBD that has helped Steemit Uganda print 6 t.shirts and also cater for other costs.

As I wrote yesterday in my post of how we had exchanged the 37 SBD to Ugandan money and we printed shirts and also made some flyers.We even started promoting Steemit on the streets of Kampala as you can read from my post here.

I am happy to say that today we embarked on a journey to promote Steemit to one of the biggest universities in Uganda,Kyambogo university.This is among the oldest public universities in Uganda.We got in as a team,me @jordanlove @battebilly @yohan2on and @ireneblessing.

Kyambogo University

It is so unfortunate that we found these students preparing for their exams,intact they are already sitting for their end of semester examinations.

We had a few challenges of them giving us attention.We found obviously a few interested ones.

We moved through a few departments as shown in the image above and below.

We talked to the students as a group,we split into twos for easier coverage of the promotion.In the image below,you see @ireneblessing and @jordanlove explaining Steemit to some students.

If you look closely,one student was so worried about exams that he had to take turns listening to our Steemit promotion and glancing at his notes!!!

In the midst of all this examinations,some signed up though as you can see @jordanlove helping out one below.

Challenges Faced

1.Wrong mindset of crypto.

Most folks here know onecoin as crypto.We all know the issues surrounding the legitimacy of onecoin! It's at this moment that we have to explain that Steemit is under Steem,which is a crypto coin and show them the coinmarketcap!

2.Most folks think we are promoting Network marketing company!

Isn't that funny! I have realised people all over the world have a negative mindset towards MLM! So whatever new thing comes up is linked to being MLM.We have to clear the air out that Steemit is not MLM.

3. Folks lost money in Pyramids

We met guys who said they have lost money in such online things...When they say this,we just question them further to show them difference between those online things and Steemit.
It's true very many ponzis and pyramids have cropped up and taken off with people's money.We assure them by making them go to the Steemit website in our presence and read what's on the website! If they lack internet connection,we set up wireless networks with our phones! We have to show them the truth and not leave them in their hearsay!!!.

Questions of how to withdraw

This question has never missed on any of my promo activities.People always want the end result even before siging up! I understand their situation,most of them have lost money in Pyramids where they see the online money in the ewallets, but the money can't be withdrawn!
We explain to them the whole withdrawal process until they're satisfied.

There is also a special kind of Folks who are still naive about the internet,yes you read that right! There are some people who us if we are not illuminati!!! Yes illuminati.Some folks believe that whatever they do not or cannot understand is illuminati!

You may need know that it's hard work explaining Steemit to a Ugandan.Its really tough out there,but we do our best to simplify all our explanations to them.I always tell them to visit the Steemit website in my presence and red what's on it.

Total =21500(5.8USD)

Lunch

21000(5.67USD)

Total spent =42500(11.48 USD)

Balance from yesterday was 150000 ugx

Balance now =150000-42500=107500

We shall be having another promo tomorrow at the same university and I l post updates here.
