We love the visiting State and National Parks. Being able to rest with nature, enjoy a nice hike or ride and just breathe the fresh air!

And it's so good for your Health!

In fact studies have shown that being in nature reduces blood pressure, relieves stress, anxiety and even anger! Spending time in sunshine for just 10 minutes each day will provide enough Vitamin D to support your immune system! Visiting State and National Parks is also a great way to spend time re-connecting with friends and family, time away from social media and television. You’ll find you sleep better too! No kidding!

And so we did!

No matter how many times we visit the same parks our experiences are different each time. Such was the time we recently visited the Florida Keys and Curry Hammock State Park. From the Campground hosts to the Park Rangers, everyone has a kind word. They work hard to make sure the park is well maintained, actually raking each campsite after visitors depart. This is truly a welcoming place after a long drive.

And oh! The wildlife! You never know what you‘ll see!

From majestic birds…

To sharks…

And of course the Lizards!

You won’t be disappointed!

On one early morning...

walk we found a sandcastle was being built! We weren’t sure what his finished product would be when we first approached!

So we walked on...

knowing we would cross paths again! The sun was shining now and the water was blue, blue!

Nature seemed to stand still! Just waiting for me, calling "See Me, see me!"

The Sandcastle was taking shape!

This gentleman was shooting a video while he the built the sandcastle. He said he planned to condense the building process into a time lapse video. I asked him if he would be sharing his video on YouTube. He laughed and replied no, it was just for fun!

And then, it was finished…

standing strong and tall on the shores, the birds stood guard. I hoped it would stay for a while, until the tide took it away.

And then, as night drew near, we were drawn to the beach again!

I do hope you get to spend some time with nature this weekend! Plan a visit to the parks around your home, you won’t be disappointed. I promise you’ll be glad you did. Nature is there, just waiting to greet you! Do you have a favorite Park? I would love to hear about it!

And as always, blessings to you all!

Looked like a fun day and beautiful weather. That man building the sand castle really did a great job; any idea just how long it did take him to complete it?

Oh my goodness! So good to see you @sultnpapper! Hows the new job going? They're keeping you too busy to have time to visit with your friends on Steemit, lol? We did enjoy our day at the State Park. i think he worked for about 4 hours to complete this sandcastle, such attention to detail. All by himself, his wife sat nearby and watched him, his camera on a tripod filming. Nice guy, just enjoying himself and leaving a bit of beauty for everyone else! Thanks for stopping in :)

The new job is going very well and I could not be more blessed to be working with the two guys who own the company.
In fact they are both on vacation right now one is in Spain for a month and the other is in Boise Idaho for three weeks.
What is really eating up my evening hours when I would normally write is my part time business I started while I was job searching. I have been doing irrigation designs in the evenings for a couple of contractors who do a lot of home builder work. I average about $25 an hour drawing plans for them which is way more than writing the Daily Dose generates.
I do miss the interaction with all the folks on here and at some point I will get back to writing here just don't know when or how often. In the mean time I'll sneak in and upVote some posts from the Steem Engine people when I can.
Take care,
@sultnpapper

Well, wasn't this fun!! I love State Parks (and Nationals too) and so did my parents, so as kids, we got to explore many of them while growing up. I have done the same for my kids as I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I would have wanted to watch the step by step of the man making the sand castle! How very cool and so interesting to see someone actually be able to sculpt something from nothing.

Oh, I am so not an artist, could you tell?

It looked like a wonderful day! I am so glad you took advantage of it and had a great time with the family. Steem on!

!tip

Thank you @dswigle, this was so fun to watch, this guy definitely had a vision which he was able to pull off quite easily. We tried to watch him but didn't want him to think we were stalkers, lol There weren't many people on the beach so it was tough to be discrete, on top me taking pictures :) We do love the parks, being outside is where we prefer to be, living in the south has allowed us to be out year round, yay! I know how much you love nature as well, your flowers are always so beautiful, photography stunning, you are an artist my friend! So glad to hear from you, have a great week

Fantastic shots I love them all, what a beautiful area must be so refreshing there thanks for sharing with us and thanks for being an Active member of SteemUSA !tip

Thanks @tattoodjay, it was a fun visit. Glad you enjoyed the pictures, thats quite the compliment coming from the photo master like you :) So glad to be a part of SteeemUSA too!

I am no master just been playing around with this hobby for a few years now :)

Congratulations! This post has been chosen as one of the daily Whistle Stops for The STEEM Engine!

You can see your post's place along the track here: The Daily Whistle Stops, Issue 470

Wow! Those are incredibly shots of the animals that you managed to get! The lizard in particular... such a vibrant green!

Oh glad you enjoyed them @bengy! That green llizard was quite the actor! He was truly posing for me, at one time I thought he wanted to come home with us, lol Beautiful creature!

Some lovely reminders why it is just so darn fun to get outside! You'd never see a lizard like that just sitting on the couch. Well, maybe if your television is really good, but still. 😝 I've been getting outside plenty often here, but I would so love to dip my toes in the sand some time soon!

I know you understand, being a runner. I always said I solved all of the worlds problems during my outdoor runs, lol Being in nature is that way too, clears the mind. That lizard, he was all over the place! I took so many pictures of him I could do a green lizard post, lol Quite the character, posing all around me! I think it's time for another vacay Katie! I look forward to seeing where you guys go!

That “just for fun” sandcastle is pretty amazing! I love how bright green that lizard is too. Great shots @birdsinparadise. Nature is Gods medicine, I swear!

You're in the middle of nature right now, your photos are just as amazing @puravidaville :) I took so many shots of that lizard I could make an entire post about it, At one point I thought he was movin' in, lol After that weekend, I felt like I had spent a week at a retreat! You know what those beaches do for you ;) Sand castle was the icing on the cake! lol

One of these when we are feeling ambitious enough we should try to build a sand castle. That guy in your post makes it look super easy 😳. Yep, nature and food= Gods medicine for everything :)

hehe, thanks @brittandjosie, glad you enjoyed it! Quite the treat for me to be able to share with everyone :)

Wow, really have a lot of patience in building the sand castle. Lovely photo shoots here.

Sandcastle man had a little music going, his wife was watching from the side and he was carving away. He would step back, take a look and start in again. It took him about 4 hours to do it, quite the project, but he loves doing it. We truly enjoyed watching! Glad you enjoyed it @rosatravels!

Those are marvelous shots! I bet that really made you guys relax. Thank you for sharing this and have a great day!

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed the pics. It was easy to get carried away and take way too many shots. Nature was everywhere! :)
