Last weekend, I photographed the Tails and Vistas art hike and the last performers on the hike were aerial hoop dancers. Their performance was a lot darker than the others on the hike with some heavy metal like music playing. The dancers were dressed in snakeskin looking clothes and the moved a bit like serpents during the dance. They were a lot of fun to photograph and I was able to spend a little extra time with them.

I ended up with 5 "keeper" photos at this location. I like them all for different reasons, but I'm curious:

#1 This is perhaps my personal favorite but I also like the soft focus of some of the tilt-shift lens photos below.

#2 This one tells a bit more of the story about what the art hikers are in for.

#3 There's just something about the soft dreamy look a tilt-shift lens has, I find it to be a great lens for this type of event.

#4 I really like the rich blue sky and all the poppin' colors of this shot.

#5 The dancers had a difficult and great pose in this shot. And it was shot with that tilt-shift lens that I love.
