Our first round of Poetry Bounty was blessed with thoughtful and imaginative pearls from our participants! @Gaby-Crb, @Agmoore, @Vida-Blanca, @Oivas, and @Jadams2k18 truly dove deep within as they were inspired by the prompt song. It was from our delight over the quality of these poems and NOT the courage gained from too many bubbling seaweed brews, that we liberated some treasure from the hippocamp's stash.

It is our desire to be rid of the evidence joy to give each of you 2 @Steembasicincome shares for rising to the poetic challenge in a spectacular fashion!

• A King By Birth by Gaby-Crb
  An epic tale plays out through Gaby's verses which progress to the music perfectly. A lovely princess wild of heart and born in a land of peace eschews the traditions set before her to set out on her own journey. Beset by peril she prevails and returns home, only to be heartbroken by what she discovers. It's with determination and strength of will that she picks up a blade with the conviction to bring back the harmony in her land.
  
  
• The Big House by Agmoore
  In this piece that she dedicates to her Irish mother-in-law, Agmoore treats us to a bit of the history in peat harvesting and the recent bans against it in Ireland. In true Agmoore style, we're given some interesting information that enriches the experience and understanding of her poem. Though the shortest of entries in this round, her piece is grounded in thought, comes from the heart, and carries with it the spirit of those who have had so much taken from them for those in the 'Big House'.
  
  
• I'll See You Again by Vida-Blanca
  Vida's beautiful poem weaves in all the elements of a timeless tale. Romance, laughter, completion, death, despair, conviction, and hope are etched within each of her lines. A perfect love - one's other half needed to be complete - is lost, having been claimed by death. Determined to see him again, the protagonist takes up her steel against her foe to return to his side and sets the sky ablaze. The emotions that come through with this memorable poem are riveting.
  
  
• Orion by Jadams2k18
  This poem is elegant and a pure delight. How often have we looked up to the stars and wondered? Here one looks to glittering expanse above, taking comfort in their constancy. There before him, there with him, and there long past when he'll be gone. The imagery invoked is sweet and is painted so well that you can imagine it all clearly within your mind. As the music swells from the prompt so will your contemplation and introspection as the lines progress. Just as the stars are watched by those of us on this spinning blue dot, is there a soul thinking, wondering, and looking back at us?
  
  
• Jökull Inspired Poetry by Oivas
  Oivas's poem strikes us with its vivid imagery of one whose body has been worn to near surrender by a merciless sun. So fitting to the mood created with the music, the story of this person ready to give in to an inevitable death has us thinking to times when we ourselves were near the brink. It's from within, from a spirit not willing to go down without a fight, that this person is able to carry on. Rejuvenation and hope prevail and the journey is far from over. There is such strength with this piece that I think it should be something to read whenever we feel our spirits flagging.
