POETS UNITED : DAILY DOSE OF POETRY AND PROSE #88 (@madevi)
Good afternoon one and all!
Today I will do the Daily Dose because our fellow Restless Soul @Vuds is unable to do it right now. She is building a platform at a camp site somewhere in Norway. I hope she has nice weather, not too hot and most of all not wet because sawing wet wood sux. And since the last Dose was a few days ago it just couldn't wait any longer.
I have been slack on the writing myself because I am still working on the bots. And even though coding is much like writing poetry, it still leaves me in a completely different state of mind. After I post this Dose I will sit down to write since you guys and gals have massively inspired me once again.
The quality of the poems I see coming by lately is awesome, I see our long time members getting better in different ways and we have some awesome new additions to our community too. Of course there's always room for improvement, but I think we are doing good!
Now, like I said, we had some great poems to choose from for this edition. I read them, re-read them, made pre selection and a final one... This is what I ended up with:
#3 @angelveselinov's "compete" grips you straight away, the first stanza could be a poem in itself. We all know how passionate Angel is passionate about our community, one might even say posessed sometimes... This is, of course not a surprise as he is the original Restless Soul. He eats, sleeps and drinks Poetsunited and also writes neat poems like this one about it. I am not going to spoil it by quoting this, just read it for yourself.
#2 Stephen Martin (@acousticsteveo) is a relative new addition to our community but has gotten an honerable mention more than once already. We are very happy to have this great poet in our ranks! Today he treats us to this little gem called "pie poem" I looked for a quote, but once again that would only take away from this delicious poem and I could not choose anyway... You don't want to miss this one!
Which leaves us with the number 1 for today, "Kismet" by @cryptoprofessor. This poem describes love unconditional and eternal in a way that reaches into your fiber. Poetry at it's best does this, it makes you feel and experiance things and the best poets can play you like a violin. I could have chosen 10 sentences that would have made nice quotes to tease you in, but this sentence is just crazy good!

These were the remaining entries, in random order, at least three of them were considered for the top 3. Keep 'm coming!
