Poem // Perfectly There
Perfectly there
An invisible force grips between my atoms //
It shakes back and forth //
I feel weightless //
The light in my eyes has never been so bright //
A feeling of solitude, contentment, existence pervades me //
It spreads through me, parts of me that aren’t even me //
I have never seen so clearly //
I am mesmerized //
Transfixed //
Terrified //
I have no control
I don’t wish to have control
I don’t wish to think
I am not me
I am staying there.
Perfectly there.
The moment is fleeting.
May the light from where you read
Illuminate your mind, body and soul
From these words I must be freed
May your heart warmly know
For mine has known true magic
In the shimmer of your being
You’re a treasure immeasurable in worth
Perfectly there, wondrous, fleeting...
