Okay, if that is 2mm, then this is really a quite zoomed in shot! And again, you are going to have to put me out of my misery... I can't think of what it would be...
I discovered the feature of my tripod to reverse the middle column. This made it possible to get a real close (1cm or less) shot from right above the object.
The object is an adapter ring, it makes it possible to fit Nikon lenses on my Canon camera.

It is a great camera, but kind of default one Canon EOS 550d kit with default lens.
By adding extension rings you make it possible to get very close to the object. Actually you have to get very close to the object, otherwise there is no way to get the focus right. This results in nice macro shots :)
Only recently started using this, so it is still a bit trial and error, but it is great fun.
Some objects look so different zoomed in like that.
