Scotland Roundtrip IX - Heading towards the Isle of Skye | Unterwegs zur Isle of Skye [EN/DE]

After two nights we left Clashnessie and the mainland to drive over the Skye Bridge to our Airbnb on the Isle of Skye. On the way we took a break in Ullapool, a nice little city where we had a venison burger for lunch while watching a regatta on the picturesque Loch Broom.

Nach zwei Nächten verließen wir Clashnessie und das Festland, um über die Skye-Brücke zu unserem Airbnb auf der Isle of Skye zu fahren. Unterwegs hielten wir in Ullapool, einer hübschen kleinen Stadt, wo wir zum Mittagessen einen Wild-Burger probierten, während wir einer Regatta auf dem malerischen Loch Broom zusahen.

Next stop on the way was the famous Eilean Donan Castle, where we unfortunately didn´t meet the Highlander, but a crowd of people who were camping in front of the castle.

Unser nächster Halt unterwegs war das berühmte Eilean Donan Castle, wo wir leider nicht den Highlander trafen, aber eine Schar von Leuten, die vor dem Schloss campten.

In the evening we arrived at our accomondation at a nice lady's house in a tiny village called Breakish. Her children have already left home so she had some extra space for travelers. It was a good place to start exploring the island. I want to show you some general impressions of Skye now before going into detail soon...

Am Abend kamen wir in unserer Unterkunft an - im Haus einer netten Dame in einem kleinen Dorf namens Breakish. Ihre Kinder waren schon längst aus dem Haus, daher hatte sie genug Platz für Reisende. Es war ein guter Startpunkt um die Insel zu erkunden. Ich möchte einige allgemeine Impressionen der Isle of Skye zeigen, bevor ich demnächst ins Detail gehe...
