Winter Wonderland (Part1)
As you may have noticed, I have not been posting much lately. I think a few of you may agree with me in saying that Christmas holidays are meant to be spent with family and friends, relaxing and enjoying life rather than staring at our screens all day long. Yet with Steemit being so addictive, it's not always easy to find a healthy balance...
For the holidays, I've travelled back to France to be with my family and friends for a few weeks. My parents live in a small village in Burgundy. It is a beautiful region which most of you may know primarily for its wine and picturesque vineyard landscapes.
So let's begin our seasonal tour of Burgundy with the present season: welcome to my Winter Wonderland!
But first, 2 maps to give you a better idea of where in the world we are:

Winter has always been one of the toughest seasons for me to photograph given the lack of sunlight and neverending gray skies.

The chapel is ancient. The cemetery's inhabitants would be around three to four hundred years old now if they had not died.
Watch out for the curves! This is a tricky one at this time of year.
Trivia time!!! What's the name of the little house used to shelter winemakers in the vineyards? (used to find warmth in winter, freshness in summer and refuge from the elements)
All photos were taken with my Canon EOS 500D and Samsung Galaxy S3.

Wow. Just wow. Your photography is such high quality and your post writing and formatting skills are the equal to your photography. This is a really, really top notch post and the kind of thing that adds so much value to Steem. We are luck to have you! The two shots that really spoke to me were the spiderweb - something about the colors of that shot just scream WINTER - and the wine barrel landscape shot - that is just such an interesting shape juxtaposition with the barrel and the winterscape. Love it.

Unfortunately no. My winter break is too short to fly back to Malaysia :(
Next time..we all fly to Lisbon and play snooker throughout winter.

Yeah that's often the problem, but more so in the city. Snow turns to mud almost as it hits the ground!
As for the swing, it used to be on another tree.. this one's too old
Lately, it did't even touch anything till it became a fluid..so much for snow around here ;)

Nope. He used to spend hours behind screens and has given that up almost completely. He has developed a ton of cool new hobbies on the way... steemit would struggle to find its place in his life i think. At best, he'd be one of those users who signs up, writes a post or 2 and then disappears.
Steemit really isnt for everyone... The change of lifestyle and dedication required to "succeed" can be quite demanding. I think he realizes this by watching me and browsing through everyone's posts in the general feed.
I would love to read about those hobbies. Why are u reading everyone's? You cant possibly be spending all that time doing that Sylvia. You'll be so tired! I know I would.
I guess it's not for everyone. Thu a dollar in the Philippines goes a long way that Filipinos need not work when earning here, where 20sbd can be one's salary for a month with today's rate😂
