Macro Headshot Series - 7- Jumping Spider
I spotted this cute little jumping spider, a female Hasarius adansoni, on the wall in the dining room and she was kind enough to pose for a few shots. You can see the male here.

While the series is named "Headshot" I'll need to upgrade my lens with a magnifier of somekind to get really close face only shots of this tiny spider! It's something I'm working towards though first I'll need to upgrade the camera body.
Spiders have a combined head/thoratic section so... maybe these are already "Headshots"?
I like this profile image as the smaller lateral eyes (third pair) are clearly visable! It's quite small and is found between the 2nd and 4th pair of larger eyes. Can you spot it?
The big eyes are really great!

I am jealous of your photos, but the fact that one does not have smart equipment does not mean opportunity should pass us by, should it? Taken with a small Canon pocket size camera I happened to have handy.
Do you know the species? - I believe a South African 'rain spider' of sorts.
You got an up vote (or was it two?) from me - I love these critters!
Nice shot @clicketyclick! I don't know the exact species but it looks like a Huntsman Spider from what I can see in the picture.
Some pictures of Huntsman Spiders I've taken:
Huntsman Spider Exoskeleton and Huntsman Spider.
Not having smart equipment definitely does not mean we should let opportunity pass us by!
and
Well said!
A shy recluse, its awareness fed more by feeling than by sight, it seems...
Yeah, those tiny eyes won't be seeing much detail!
My model here looks a little different from your hunter samples (must admit though, I have not looked at all of them. These grow palm size and build nests of leaves an twigs up to nearly tennis ball size. Called 'rain spiders' as they tend to come into your home when rain is imminent - normally high up against the walls..perfectly harmless to humans.
Sorry for depixelating quite a bit - takes ages loading otherwise!
cool stuff, are they poisonous?
Thank you @fr3eze!
Yes, they are venomous but only flies need to worry. They are harmless to humans.
fantastic photography sir ,beautful pictures clicked sir at dining table hehehe :)
It's a bit like having a really really small cat. They fend for themselves and take care of pests!
hehe right sir
Beautiful photography as always my friend. Cute and spider just never go together in my vocabulary. I have too many images of my foot stomping down or an old magazine thudding the side of a wall in my house when I associate anything with spiders lol
By the way, There is a new Haiku Poem Contest out
You should definitely enter in too
All Haiku fans are going to enter including me
Thanks @verbal-d! There are certainly some spiders that are not cute, these ones however are cute! :P
The haiku contest sounds interesting, do you have a link to it?
You're very welcome &
Sorry bro,
I thought I had linked it already
Here it is Steemit Haiku Contest: Make Haikus Great Again by @moonleesteem
Amazing shots, love the world we live in and the creatures we share it with. :)
That's great to hear! That is what I try to communicate with these posts! :)
hello, I love how you've captured it, but give me panic and my reaction is always running, it's better than me, but your catch is precious
Happy Tuesday
Thanks @txatxy! Lots of people think spiders are scary but they're really very nice and hugely beneficial creatures. Only a few are dangerous. And the kind in this post actually have a fair amount of character if you just quietly watch them go about their business.
Happy Wednesday over here!
Those are some great shots!
Thank you @dbooster!
