Macro Headshot Series - 6 - Grass Lizard

This little Grass Lizard (Takydromus tachydromoides) was perched in a low bush and amazingly didn't run away as soon as I spotted it! Which is fortunate as I was nearly on top of it before I noticed the lizard.

Though it stands out quite a bit against the green leaves, it's nearly indistinguishable from the leaves and twigs that litter the undergrowth.

It's quite a treat to spot one!
