Acapulco Botanical Gardens Adventures: Wet Season Revisit Part 1

in #photography7 years ago

Hi guys, now several months and several cameras later we revisited the Botanical Gardens here in Acapulco since the seasons have switched from dry to wet. It was interesting to see the changes in the garden which were numerous. And in the beginning of our visit we bumped into what we suspected was the woman the whole place is named after, Esther Pliego de Salinas. We didn't confirm this until later but we had our suspicions.

Putting it simply, she was very polite and elegant and seemed to know a lot about the plants. It'd be interesting to spend some time with her in her garden learning about the plants, both old and new.

I found this page on the website that explains how the garden came about, less than 20 years ago at this point.

What a beautiful place to visit! So many gorgeous plants and arrangements. I love the falling water over the rocks. Always creates a special feeling.

Hey, that's pretty cool. Upvoted and resteemed it!

Awesomeness!! Glad you like it :):) Thanks for the upvote and resteem!!

@lily-da-vine love this post of the Botanical Gardens. I spend a ton of time at the Botanical Gardens here in Denver, CO and I have always enjoyed the transformation it goes through with each change of the seasons.

I am originally from Florida, and the pics of all the tropical plants (particularly the pineapple) remind me an awful lot of home. Great post and great nostalgia trigger.

I've always been a fan of these sorts of places back home so it was sort of comforting for me in that way, even with all the weird plants. I'm glad it hit home for ya, many more photos to come!

Beautifully captured. Like it. Following you. Upvote you.

Wonderful publication continued

Great works, I wish you success
