Lantana
Good morning and evening everyone! Today I am going to share to you a picture of a #Lantana(scientific name: Lantana) flower in our yard. It loves to grow in tropical regions. This perrenial flowering plant has 150 species and we have two species of it here in our yard, the other one is a tri-color too and is not blooming yet. This plant is also known as shrub verbenas that grows around 0.5-2 m or 1.6 - 6.6 ft. tall.
What I like about these flower is that it never fails to attract lots of butterflies and bees. They are just adored by these insects so much especially when it is at its flowering peak. This hardy plant is a drought tolerant and loves to bloom especially when it is too hot and sunny. You can water drown them when the soil is too dry and just leave them for a long time but also take note that this sun-loving plant can be invasive when left untrimmed. They need to be pruned and the more you prune them in order to maintain its bushy shape, the more lovely they can be when flowering.
I really enjoy lantana is landscaping such bright, happy flowers.
indeed, they love to flower especially when it's too sunny. some of our neighbors will go pose in our yard with these plants behind them as their background for their pictures :D it looks like a carpet of flowers.
