The use of the natural environment for human benefit is not a new thing; many ancient civilizations have grafted nature for physical and spiritual healing. In some indigenous religions there is a life cycle ceremony called “vision quest” a young man having privation, isolation (travel in to the wilderness), inspiration then he would return to the elder of the tribe and the elder would change the name of the young man. Allowing the young man to wander in to the wilderness gives him time to reflect on his life, immersing himself in the peaceful beauty of nature givings him inspiration.

Nice posting @enosh. This is something I think this is something everyone should do once in a while. Just spend time in nature, disconnect and just soak up the surroundings.

You've a good eye for picking out some of the more unusual features in the wild, like the tree growing over the rock. Really observant!

Thank you, since I am a beginner I still have lots to learn and in my opinion where I live it’s kinda boring so I try to find something that I find interesting.
