Architectural photography - Jiaxiu Pavilion古建筑摄影-甲秀楼

If you go to Guiyang, you are certain to go to see jiaxiu Pavilion which is Guiyang's landmark building and also the symbol of Guiyang.

Walking on the streets of Guiyang, you will be attracted by this ancient and beautiful building. It is a beautiful, spectacular building with a history of over 400 years. It is one of the precious relics that have been left behind in the Ming Dynasty.

Jiaxiulou has three layers with four corner tops which is the only one in the Chinese ancient architectural history. The building is divided into three stories with white stones around. It is about 20 meters tall from the floor to the top of the building. It stands straightly on the Nanming River about four hundred years. It is a witness of history.

The construction of the Ming Dynasty governor Jiangdongzhi had a poem:

"Qing long river is shallow with clean water,
The new building connected with the far state.
Show three stories with its wings,
crossing the river made it outstanding.

I can not correctly express the meaning of Chinese ancient poetry. But the general meaning is that it is the most beautiful building in the world. From then , it became the symbol of Guiyang culture!

如果你到贵阳，一定要去看看甲秀楼，它是贵阳的地标性建筑，是贵阳的象征。走在贵阳的街头，你会被这个古老而秀丽的建筑所吸引。 它美丽，壮观，秀美天下，具有400多年的历史，是明代以来留下来的珍贵的古迹之一。

甲秀楼是三层三檐四角攒尖顶阁楼，这种构造在中国古建筑史上都是独一无二的。楼分上下三层，白石为栏，桥面到楼顶20米左右，挺立于南明河鳌矶石上，历经四百年的风雨而矗立不倒，它是历史的见证。

修建此楼明代巡抚江东之曾有诗云：
“明河清浅水悠悠，
新筑沙堤接远洲。
秀出三狮连凤翼，
雄跨双骏据鳌头。

渔郎矶曲桃花浪，
丞相祠前据壑舟。
此日临渊何所限？
擎天砥柱在中流”

甲秀楼，由此成为贵阳文化的象征！
