Last summer we had much dragonflies in the garden.
As far as I understand, they olyuvali these metal pins in order to bask in the sun. Although perhaps they were sitting at a height it was more convenient to hunt.
In any case, they behaved cautiously and it was not very easy to sneak up on them.
This picture is the best that I managed to photograph.
Nikon D5000 + Sigma AF 17-50 + Closeup lens
