Yosemite Winter Series - The Gates of the Valley Cloudy Sunset
Timing is everything. I was about 5 minutes too late when I arrived at The Gates of the Valley in Yosemite Natrional Park. The clouds had already covered most of the view. You can see small parts of El Capitan peaking through the clouds while being lit by the sunset. I still like the way the shot came out, but it could have been better. I will have to go back there soon.

The astounding quality of the photo is enough for me to based the beginning of a book out of. Incredible colours in the sky give the scene an almost ethereal feel to it. The trees below the finishing touch.
