Introducing Big Box | 介绍个"大盒子"

Big Box is a hypermarket in Singapore that operates at only one location, Jurong East. I was in Jurong East to meet someone recently and decided to check out what is in the Big Box. So, walk along with me to see what's there. At the end, leave a comment to guess how much I spend buying some items and stand to win a prize.

Big Box是新加坡的一家大型超级市场。只有一家在裕廊东。最近到那区去开会，决定看看大盒子有什么 （Big Box 没正规的中文名但可把它翻译为“大盒子”。 跟我一起进去看看有什么。 之后，再留言猜猜我花了多少钱购物就有机会赢奖。

To the Big Box | 去"大盒子"

If you drive, you get to park there for free if you spend the required amount of money depending on when you go.

1st Floor | 一楼

As I enter, the 1st floor is occupied by the supermarket where you can get a lot of normal groceries stuff.

进入一楼就看见超市。里面当然有超市常见的东西。

The are toys for the kids. So, you kids get to bug you to buy something before you check off the first item of your shopping list. Smart.

有孩子的玩具。 没买到你要买的东西就让孩子吵着要你买玩具。这样的摆设聪明吗？

Browse and pick up some books on offer.

可看看书买几本回家。

There are items for your storage needs or those with green fingers can find pots for planting.

要储存东西？这里可有很多样的盒子或箱子。或许你需要些花盆种点植物。

If you need a bulb or some DIY things, there's lots of things you can find in the DIY section.

如果你需要一个灯泡或找点家伙帮你在家安装点东西，也有很多选择。

Lots of normal household items are available.

有很多家庭日常用品。

Interesting thing is they have food sections divided by few asian countries.

Lots of instant noodles from Japan at one end on top of the freezer to the other end.

In the freezer, there are ready to cook frozen seafood such as this breaded prawns

Here are the vegetables and fruits sections.

The seafood section offers frozen seafood and fresh catch.

What you don't get to find in a western supermarket are joss sticks and joss paper used for prayers mainly by the Chinese.

Unfortunately, around here someone disallowed me from taking pictures. Their loss. Not like it's area 51 there anyway. I paid for my purchase and exit and headed upstairs.

2nd Floor | 二楼

Half way to the 2nd floor and they are telling me there is a food court on 3rd floor.

In the 2nd floor, more than half of it were furnitures.

A sleep academy? I can go there and learn a thing or two?

3rd Floor | 三楼

On the 3rd floor, there are more furniture.

Here is the food court I was promised.

Bought a bowl of Korean mandu noodle from this stall.

Kimchi soup base is one of the best from food court standard.

The shopping bag survive the long ride by train from west to central of Singapore.

1. One person is allow one guess only.
2. Total prize money offered is $1.80 (Steem Dollars).
3. A prize of $1.80 (Steem Dollars) will be shared among winning entries got guess the correct amount exactly.
4. If there are no guess with the exact correct amount, then the total price money drop to $1.00 (Steem Dollar) which will be shared amount winning entries who are closest to the exact amount.
5. For example, if the total price of my purchase was $9.99 and nobody submit guess as $9.99 but there are 2 closest guesses of $9.94 and $10.04 (both difference by $0.05), these 2 entries will share the prize of $1.00 (Steem Dollar).
6. Deadline for submission of guess is GMT 2200h on 11th October, 2016.
