Iceland In Black And White [Original Photography]
It has been a while since I posted anything of note so I took it upon myself to re-visit some of my Iceland images from last year and re-process them. Some of these are new images that I haven't shown before and some of them are black and white versions of ones that I posted last year. My process in Lightroom is to black and white them and then just fiddle around with the highlight/shadows/black/white sliders until I'm happy with the detail and contrast levels. Then I add a border using the adjustment brush and lowering the exposure on the brush. A bit of clarity slider adjustment and you are ready to go
Thanks for looking
Mark
Amazing landscapes! And I love this low key contrast 8)

Wow these are stunning! Resteemed!
Thanks Verity, much appreciated.
I like all the long exposure ones. Nice flow. What are the technical details there?
They would have all been taken with a 3 stop ND filter or a 10 stop. Depending on the speed of the water and the effect that I was after, I'd normally go with anything between 0.5 seconds and 10 seconds
I used ND filters a lot in the past.
Lots of fun to experiment with.
Without the flowing waters this could be Mars!
Yeah, sometimes it felt like mars, especially in the lava fields.

Thanks for the comment. It does take a while to get B+W the way I want it, but it's worth it.
1, 5 and 7 are def my favorites from this series. Got to admit: love to see this traditional way of bordering the fine art photographs! Cheers
