Imagine Better

in #philosophy6 years ago (edited)

To imagine something better, we must be aware of what is wrong. Everyone needs to face their wrongs and ignorance. Showing people their wrongs is often required.

"To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong."
– Joseph Chilton Pearce

Remaining unaware of exactly what we are doing will only serve to perpetuate the current condition of falsity. Knowledge and awareness is required for change to occur. Not wishful thinking. Not placating to people's sensibilities and false worldviews and self-views. The way for people to realize the need to learn, educate and raise themselves out of the darkness of ignorance and wrongdoing, is for them to become aware of their ignorance and how wrong they are.

If someone is unaware of their ignorance, and overestimates their false certainty, they won't be choosing to learn and inform themselves. The only way for people to become aware of the darkness of falsity they're immersed into, is through the light of truth shining upon them and forcing them out of the dark comfort of ignorance.

Some people have the hardest time admitting that they have accepted, bought into, and identified with a deceptive belief for much of their lives. Belief is often more powerful than knowledge, because people become very attached to what they think they know. Taking a belief away can be like taking a part of someone's identity. As a result, many of us do not want to recognize and acknowledge the darkness in who we are or what we have become.

"The essence of propaganda consists in winning people over to an idea so sincerely, so vitally, that in the end they succumb to it utterly and can never escape from it."
– Paul Joseph Goebbels

We currently have a false reality based in deception and lies being propagated by other minds for us to accept and buy into. It's what currently exists in reality, but only because we are running someone else's program of life and living. Mind control over our lives is being implemented in the form of chemicals in our food and water, information through what we spend time on and pay attention to, and our belief in false concepts. These false concepts become part of who we currently are, as part of our ego-personality-identity construct. We are attached to them, and they are hard to face, let alone let go of.

To realize the falsity around and within us, is to have the real eyes to realize real lies.

Accurately perceiving the truth is the solution to our self-inflicted suffering by providing us with the imagination to envision another way. We need to clean up the confused, clouded and darkened lenses of perceiving reality, and instead see reality with clarity and light of truth.

We can't fight the acceptance of who we currently are, because that prevents us from envisioning and imagining a better way to live. Accept the current reality that is present, but don't accept that it needs to continue to be that way. The attachment to our programmed and conditioned worldivew of falsity needs to be let go of, not fought against. Then we can create a more accurate, correct, right and better worldview based in the truth of reality, and create a better ideal world.

The desire to learn, especially about our mistakes and wrongs, to care for truth, can be awakened or kindled once we realize how wrong we are. This awareness allows us to to seek to know. If no one speaks the truth about what is wrong, this process may never happen for many people.

Until this is recognized, we will be perpetuating a hamster wheel of existence that will progressively increment more external control, enslavement and suffering upon our lives. We are creating this condition in reality because our societies are in degrees of confusion, apathy, cowardice and fear of facing the mirror and doing the hard work to change.

It is impossible to fix the current condition of wrong ways if people are not honestly looking at the current condition. Most people are ultimately afraid of looking at reality and seeing it as it currently is, and certainly in fear of looking at the mirror and seeing themselves for what they currently are.

We must open our eyes to see the wrongs and problems in order to imagine a better way forward. If we don't see anything wrong, there is no reason to think and imagine a better way because everything is just fine and dandy. Ideal better ways like anarchy, of living without rulers, masters and controllers who force us into wrong ways of living is possible. We can break out of our current condition, if we admit to its flaws and imagine better.

Thank you for your time and attention. Peace.

Awesome post:) many people are unaware of their ignorance and they are the hardest to get through to. Its also hard to sometimes stay calm around those types in certain conversations/situations. For instance I have some family members who would never admit wrong, but always point the blame elsewhere, and have had big fall outs over nothing, all holding grudges etc. I find it hard to believe coming from the same family... but there even will always talk about other people’s flaws and never stop to think, wait, what about me? What can I do to change this? Or what can be done, rather than always challenging someone’s ways. I have had it a lot with certain family members and it does get to me, but I’m calm and just make sure I never fall out with them, even though they would easily if I just told them a bit about themselves.

Anyway, you are very right, we must look at ourselves in the mirror, make hanged to ourselves and set the example we want through ourself. We can then imagine better and look towards the better future

yeah it can be tough. We need to also be willing to tell people when they are wrong too. If no one calls people on their bullshit then they are likely to keep bullshitting ;)

For many of us is hard to even acknowledge that we are mind controlled and that we live our lives according to others plans. Even the ones who see that very often refuse to do something about it and just continue living the trends suggested by the world leaders. Some of them are not even seen on TV or written about in the newspapers.
If there will ever be a massive awakening of the crowds then the imagination process that you wrote about will really change the life on earth and many of our current systems of value.
With social media consumption everyday and fake news filled with fear it's getting harder to escape the rat race, but not impossible.
Once we step outside this hamster wheel run we will for sure enter in an golden era called by the Hindu tradition as Satya Yuga or the Era of Truth. Hope to live and see that...

The hamster wheel has it's grip on many. They need to stop focusing on survival and enjoying life, and care more about what is happening outside their little bubbles of reality

Coincidentally enough today I wrote about Seneca.

In all honesty, we can be happy that we are currently going through an era of populism as it has led to at least a small percentage of society becoming vocal and disagreeing again. Sadly enough it also shows how weak large groups and demographics are and how they fear critical thinking. Being challenged.

Add to that how touchy most have become and ever more societal values are geared towards not offending and self-introspection becomes a reality to but the fewest. Others will prefer changing their wardrobe every season and think prosperity (debt fueled more often than not) equals happiness.

Yet, they’ve never wanted to be challenged and thus never were able to prove themselves either. They think knowing life yet don’t realize they’re being lived.

Yeah, false progress led by a lack of critical thinking and self-analysis, self-refection and introspection in our way of life, keeping us distracted with nonsense while thinking "all is good, I'm 'happy'".

i have a brother who is kinda similar, it is nearly impossible to break his belief or atleast make him admit he was wrong for example, dont get me wrong he is smart and he knows alot stuff but he does bend the facts to fit his truth, and you could argue with him for awhile and even show him proof and he won't say he was wrong :D ohh and btw he will remember the truth and next time you bring up the subject that you were saying that and it was wrong he will argue and say that you were the guy who was wrong and he had the facts from the beginning, ofcourse he lies but yeah, he does everything to try and be the guy who is right and everyone else who goes against him is wrong or atleast in his mind is :D

That sucks :/ It's important to want to be right in order to have what is right and let go of what is wrong. Being arrogant and claiming to be right when wrong is not the good kind of wanting to be right ;)

If we do not our wrong? how would we correct them?
To know our wrong we should analyze our self, in this way, we'll be able to know what is wrong with us and then we will take action to correct that wrong.
