DO YOU APPRECIATE OTHERS TO BE OPEN ABOUT THEIR EMOTIONS? @ecoTrain

Have you ever experienced when your hyperactive friend turned into an extremely quiet person? You tried your best to find out what is going on; if he sick or is there anything that bothers him. Despite the fact that you are showing a sincere concern, he didn’t answer back and just remain silent. This is one of the annoying situations that most of us didn’t like. You don’t know where to put yourself and can’t decide whether to keep on comforting him or just go away because it seems like he doesn’t want to talk with you.
How can you understand a person’s true feelings if he is not willing to share his troubles with anybody?
On the other hand, it feels good when a friend is more open about his emotions. Though it will not guarantee that his problems can be solved immediately, listening to him can definitely ease the burden. You must appreciate a person who never hesitates to speak his thoughts because it’s a proof that he trusted you so much. It would be nice to be part of someone’s life and to be his living diary, isn’t it? Besides, there’s no harm in being a little more passionate and kind to the people around us.
However, it’s not always easy to be appreciative when someone is opening his emotions to us. For example, your daughter opens up how happy she is because finally, his longtime crush is now courting her. As a parent, your child’s happiness should be your happiness, but you are also worried that she’s too young for a relationship. Instead of losing your temper and tell her words out of anger, try to understand your daughter. Don’t let her feel that you don’t care or else she may never be comfortable to have conversations with you in the future.
Make sure that you taste your own words before spitting it out. If it doesn’t taste good, it is better to keep it on yourself.
There are situations that need more dosage of tenderness specially if someone is sharing his heartbreak. Yes, we are thankful that they choose us to stay with their sides during these moments but sometimes it feels a bit tiresome. I’m not saying that you are tired to be his friend or tired of listening to his problems, what I mean is that you are tired of seeing him crying for the same reason over and over again. If his brother died and share with you his sadness for almost 5 years or his girl is cheating on him and yet he still deeply in love with her, you must understand him.
Your role is to hear his sentiments and make a comforting advice but never force your advice on him.
Appreciating others for sharing their feelings can also be a life-saving move. Depression can lead to suicidal acts and one of the strong weapons to fight it is to have a heart that is willing to listen and share their sorrows. If you feel irritated about his never-ending complications in life, just ask yourself if you also want the others to be irritated every time you need a companion to lean on. Appreciate others and they will appreciate you as well, ignore them and you will live with emptiness.
When people are opening their emotions with you, accept them with open arms. They trusted you about this matter so don’t take them for granted.

Friends sometimes are not as receptive as we want them to be, nor as understanding, where being quiet is the perfect situation to be in for certain people. It's not to offend, but it's more comforting for that person. Sometimes, to be understanding is to let them be...give them the space. They will reach out at a perfect time.
I totally agree with you, there are times that silence is what they need, we must respect their space and wait for them until they are ready to share their emotions. :)
That is not what i understand from your post though where it's a bit contradicting to what you're saying now. No worries though...i understand you were coming from.
Just try to not be annoyed when they don't speak and don't take it personally. Just be patient and let them know that you're around.
I guess I know where did I go wrong, I wasn't able to explain that part in my post in a clearer way. And I admit it's my fault hehe. I didn't include that it's annoying in a way that it was scary because I'm always scared when a friend is so quiet, scared that he's thinking about hurting himself.
But everything that you've said is right and thank you so much for pointing it out. :)
I will take note of your sincere advice and I'm really happy that you give your time to read my post, it is indeed a motivation! :)
I wish all the success for the @bayanihan (thank you for helping the Filipino community) and all the Steemians here. God bless us all!
"A friend in need is a friend indeed", this proverb shows the meaning or the role of friends in our life. Listening to a friends' sadness, pain, or complaint is only one of many activities as a part of our togetherness. Sharing happiness among friends is the other one. When you do wrong, your friend will be always remind you for not doing that. So, I do agree with you, @escuetapamela to give appreciation for friends who shared their emotion with us because "world is like a wheel". Today "A" needs "B" to listen to her pain, tomorrow "B" will need "A" to listen to hers. So, that's a life.
You always amazed me with your comment!
I really want to thank you for giving such comment full of lessons to learn. :)
And yes, life is a wheel, you will never know when you will hit the bottom. So it's always good to show kindness every time. :)
