Just had a Great Adventure in my own back yard - I Love Panama !
So I wake this morning to coffee rum & steemit. I respond to a post on mushroom hunting. Then the Adventure begins :-)
So I go find some myself...
Promptly make a nice tea, Sweet with Rum of course, and do a little more steemit time:
I think Johana is a little pissed I'm not sharing, I actually caught her with my pot of boiling shrooms doing something off the stove? She is a sneaky woman at times, and when I asked what was going on! Just adding more water? So the tea does not leave my site from here on :-)
How come not 1 Guess at my Riddle this morning but 38 votes ? steemit is a curious place :-)
About Noonish The shrooms are talking....."Its time to go for a walk" Cheeta our rescue dog comes along. And we head East today.
Cheeta is a great hunting dog, and only a few minutes into the walk she runs into a field and comes back with an Iguana in her mouth...
Don't panic, Cheeta is a very gentle Dog and never killed anything I know of.
In fact she needed my help bringing her puppies back before their eyes were open, And they crawled away because she wouldn't put enough pressure on them with her mouth to move them LOL
Here is Cute story to prove my point My Dog caught a humming Bird
I any case I'm pretty High by now, and never taught Cheeta to retrieve, because I don't hunt. So she wasn't going to bring it to me, no matter how much I insisted. And she was on the other side of a barbed wire fence.
By the time I found my way through the fence & got my camera out she saw me coming and dropped it.
I had plenty of time to take 100 pictures cuz it didn't move, I missed my chance... got down close to it and checked it over.
No visible damage but it didn't seem to be breathing?
BOOM it took off like a shot Cheeta right behind, across the trail and up a tree ( safe ) Whew :-)
Cheeta has a cat's name but can't climb trees ( yet )
I could have sold that Iguana for $30-40 dollars in a heartbeat, but I prefer they live :-)
that was fun and only a few hundred meters from our house.
It's 7 hours later now, And I'm working on my last rum ( Oh My ) I was thinking about a 1/2 Hr walk to the closest bar, but it's raining heavy now...Johana has a nice glow on her face and is cooking something... Oh shit, my hike.
The hike actually lasted about 4 hours, We walked up a large hill to near where my Canadian friends live, They went home untill next year a few days ago. I forgot to bring anything to drink Doh, It would have made a great stop for some good conversation and quench my thirst :-).
Here is our favorite swimming hole, usuually the end of the walk
And only about a 5 minute walk from home, today we kept going...
Here is the view looking back from the hill
I took lots of pictures, but there very slow to load, Maybe I'll post a part 2 after uploading the pics tonight?
Maybe not, I'm getting a little weary now and Grammarly is going off all over my screen.
I'll try to fix what I can before clicking post :-)
Thanks for reading my Blog, Many more to come.
Stunning photos you took! I think your dog cheetah is so adventurous by playing with the Iguana!
She chases them all the time. that's the first time I've seen her catch 1. But it was in an open field.

Cute dog :D
Panama looks stunning! I've always wanted to visit the canal - I'm a bit of a geek for it if I'm being honest!
The canal is Great, I've been through on yachts 6 times. Always and Adventure.
5 times as line handler and once as Captain.
Been in just about every configuration there is.
Thanks for the reply, Now following :-)
Thats awesome! I'm very jealous. I will definitely visit the Canal one day in the near future. You've given me the idea to go through on a yacht now! Thanks :)
Entering Mira Flores locks on Amistad, Clifford Vaughn sailboat.
It was stolen from him in Honduras, while he was onboard! Claimed salvage rights cuz the motor wasn't working.
I should do a blog about him, Very interesting man :-)
I'm glad no iguanas were harmed in the making of this story.
Cheeta did get attacked by bee's later in the day. she went flying by me nipping at them. I have a video of her rolling like crazy in the grass. But I'm not advanced enough to post videos yet.
Oh I wasn't wishing any harm on her!.I'm just glad the iguana is ok.
Wow @codypanama I love that place with the water pond what's that? Is it river?
It's a spring fed creek, runs slow in summer and is even a bit chilly because no sun shines on it. When it rains hard, rises about 12 feet!
