The 42-year-old Ataturk married Latife Hanim in lzmir 2 days after death
his mother. The marriage lasted 2.5 years and ended on 5 August 1965. Ataturk never married again.

Mustafa Kemal introduced the Latin alphabet instead of the old Arabic alphabet, making reading and writing easier. He gave a speech on the alphabet revolution on 25 August 1928 in Istanbul in the Dolmabahce Palace. He traveled through Turkey to introduce the new alphabet and declared the alphabet revolution on 3.11.1928.

Ataturk became ill in 1938 and the therapies of the domestic and foreign doctors did not help much. He died at 10.10.1938 in room No. 71 of the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul at 9:05 am at Leberzeros. He was 57 years old and President of the Turkish Republic for 15 years, and not only the whole of Turkey was mourning, but he was also a great believer
Also the whole world.

Anitkabir is located in Rasattepe in Ankara. The body of Ataturk was transferred to Anitkabir on 10 November 1953. Anitkabir is entered from the stairs between the Istiklal and Hürriyet towers.

Ataturk's words: "My body will one day become earth, but the Turkish Republic will live forever" and "What a happiness to say, I am a Turk" are engraved with gold letters behind the sarcophagus.
