Happy 2 Year Anniversary To Our Open Mic Contest and Our Wonderful Open Mic Music Community.
I still can't believe the humble beginnings we have come from and how far we have gone thus far. We are still strong and united for the right reasons and I love everything we have accomplished so far as a team and community. As a fellow musician and judge, I have made so many amazing friends here through the Open Mic and have had multiple collaboration opportunities with other talented Steemians to change the world with the impact of profound, intentional music. I am grateful for all the growth and inspiration I've received from all of you, and I thank you for your continued participation and support, so for this particular week, in honour of all of us who are apart of the Open Mic movement, from my fellow friends (the judges and host, @Luzcypher, @Krystle, @Passion-Ground, @Meno, & @Soundlegion), as well as our invaluable witnesses @Pfunk, @Ausbitbank, @Aggroed, @Teamsteem & @Helpie, and, last but not least, our listeners and supporters, I share with you all today an extremely powerful song titled "Everything Must Change" By my friend "James Percell aka Indio Tha Swagga Man. As one of the 6 judges, and as an original artist also, I aim to represent the best original artists in this contest from our wonderful Steemit community. I am keeping my ears open for cover artists as well, don't worry but creating an original song is indeed impressive, especially if executed and performed well. You really create memorable moments with your music bro. You pour your all into your performances and take the details of musicality and intention to its limitations. I feel like I am watching a blissful ending to a cinematic movie and your song is the perfect closing soundtrack to a wonderful story told as the credits rise up on the screen. This has a romantic lining and poetic feel to it, and really reaches the heart. Great original by far, and a wonderful gem to share on our 2 year anniversary. 2. @felixjfarfan's "Get Lucky" By Daft Punk Cover Song
You have always had skills on the instruments you play for us, and this entry was no exception. It was, in fact, quite exceptional and superbly executed. You layered your performance very well and the groove, rhythmic delivery, catchy melodic base and simplicity of this 2013 hit really shined with your displayed talent. I really enjoyed how you use your speed to your advantage and showcasing your agility based off of the momentum you build in this really cool vibing entry. This was a great cover choice and you stole the show this week with this one. Your style of playing actually reminds me of
Jake Shimabukuro, who released his hyper-speed ukulele version of George Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
I actually saw him live in concert in San Francisco and it was truly an amazing concert. I think it is something you will enjoy listening to and watching a lot and I hope it inspires you to continue on your path to becoming an even greater musician/player than you already are. 4. @trilumia's "Azul" By Djavan Cover Song
This was a very chill, laid back grooving reggae tune and Open Mic's very own @lisamalletart & @rhavi compliment the chemistry of this reggae band Trilumia, which also consists of @uriell and @faowna. You consistently bring us good vibes and positive feelings with this welcoming cover choice and you hardly disappoint with the energy you provide for us all. You are highly valued and respected for your passion for music and your consistently enjoyable performances. 5. @senzenfrenz's ”What's Up" By Non Blondes Cover Song
Although this was missed out on for week 103, due to problems with the blockchain, this was a gem of a cover that deserves worthy praise and recognition. This was both a fun and passionately driven performance with great chemistry from you both. Katalina sang this song so well and was spot on with the style and sound that is required for this well known hit, and you both accompanied each other well with timed harmonies and guitar layerings. Definitely give this another play through, thanks for this impressive entry. Looking forward to your future ones as well.

Your boy James Percell's song and story are quite compelling. I was born in the Bronx in a neighborhood quite similar to the one he is surviving in. One has to have a lot of fight and heart in them to survive such a rough and unforgiving landscape of existence. My heart and prayers go out to him.
Everything is changing - has changed - and will continue to change... All we can do is hope and pray that the majority of such change is for the better.
