OPEN MIC WEEK 41: my cover of 4 + 20 by Stephen Stills
I've been posting a few of my existing YT videos here lately but this is my first official entry for the open mic contest. Hope you will like my selection. I plan to participate regularly going forward as I'm enjoying the Steemit experience so far. Thanks to our sponsors for setting up the contest, excellent motivation for getting me working on some songs to participate.
I used to listen to the classic Déjà Vu album all the time back in the day and the short melancholy 4 + 20 contribution by Stephen Stills was definitely one of the reasons why. This is an alternate tuning song in "D Modal" with an extra D thrown in, making it DADDAD instead of the standard (?) DADGAD. Not knowing any better until recently, I used to play this one in standard tuning: safe to say that it works much better this way.
