One of the grand buildings in NYC is St Patrick's Cathedral, I have taken and shared shots of it before but I decided to get some new ones with my new camera and hence this post.

The Cathedral of St. Patrick (commonly called St. Patrick's Cathedral) is a decorated Neo-Gothic-style Roman Catholic cathedral church and a prominent landmark of New York City.
It is the seat of the archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, and a parish church, located on the east side of Fifth Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets in Midtown Manhattan, directly across the street from Rockefeller Center and specifically facing the Atlas statue.
Work began on construction on the cathedral in 1858 and it was completed in 1878 and dedicated in 1879

And finishing off with another shot of the Cathedral, this one as seen from across the road, with the Cathedral in the background behind the Atlas Statue in front of the Rockefeller Center.

What is the statue in front of the church... is that Christ?
@mineopoly No that is actually across the street it is Atlas Statue in front of the Rockefeller Center.

I always think it's weird seeing an old cathedral that would look more at home in Europe, among all the modern buildings of NYC.
