The most discussed subject on steemit is steemit, least discussed on twitter is twitter.

See this trend? break it.

When the least discussed on steemit is steemit, things will turn around.

the reason is the whales like steem......

if i write about anything i don't make any money

if i say steem is awesome i make money....

That should not be the case at all. And it's a shame if it is.

Exactly! Oh and Steemit is totally awesome!!!

are you trying to raise my blood pressure. I feel like starting a "no steemit on steemit guild" right now

Maybe I'll make a comic about steemit users being frustrated about steemit posts on steemit. It won't at all be about steemit though.

What do you think? ;)

I like comics so that makes some sense. That might get some people on the right track.

Needs to be more steemit'y...

Know what I'm saying?

But being more serious, yes, it would be nice to see everyone focus on other things

Well if you want to change it, you can buy steem (that is cheap right now) and up vote content that you like. The thing is if you want to change anything you will need to have stake or influence people with stake. Its different from other sites where its just any user .....

here it is put your mouth where your money is.....

Great point. It is not helping change that cycle when steemit related posts are topping the trending page...

What is this 'Steemit' thing you mention?

Hmm, true! Let's try to drown them out with other posts, shall we? :-)

I agree let's get them out of the way in favor of real social posts. :D

Everyone know about Mc Donald's, but they still hit use up everyday with adds on TV and radio. They only do this for three reasons. Promote, promote, and promote. Hopefully when Steemit starts their promotion campaign to educate everyone about Steemit. And when Steemit becomes user friendly. Everyone will just natural stop only posting about steemit. And the biggest thing to think about is that this is all Beta testing. Do you thing that the beta testing of Twitter had very little talk about twitter? Your a beta tester, enjoy the ride.

Posts about steemit as of recently are far off from promote, promote, promote.

Preach it. :)

I was hoping by now it will be natural growth that will end this. But we are dragging the new people into this same circle of steemit this and steemit that.

I've gone back and forth on this and I certainly agree and appreciate the frustration. I also remember my first introduction to Steemit and how it was the only thing I wanted to talk about. It's pretty freaking neato. So I'm okay with people talking about it now and again, but if we ever want to be taken seriously by those who aren't part of the community, we have to continue writing content others will link to in order to bring new users. That may involve doing cool stuff or getting noticed by celebrities. Heck, we could even use it to repair relationships with celebrities. :)

Definitely. We're all in this together, so we might as well row it together in the right direction - up!

I just worry when I see new signups drowning in these rewards discussions from day one, I have even noticed some new accounts talk about nothing but steemit this and steemit that. Imagine when we have comment rewards higher too "if we do", everyone on steemit will be working to solve steemit problems. But steemit problem right now is too many chiefs, not enough Indians, even the few indians we get we quickly make them chiefs working on solving nothing else but steemit problem.

Yes, you're right, and I'd be happy if I never have to post about Steemit again. What we need to do is actively build communities, not tear people down for trying different things. Intense scrutiny on how every dollar is spent results in people having to justify everything and then we get endless circle jerk postings to criticize this or justify that. It's wasting resources that are better spent building, not arguing or policing. When we build communities, will people come along complaining about one or another of them draining the reward pool? We need to bring in more users and enable more short form content, more video, more music, more news, and some great discussions about topics of interest (not about Steemit).

100% agree on that.

LOL and ironically after I found you on Twitter and tagged you in a post or 2 and a few after that, I never heard from you since hahaha.

:D sorry I am trying to keep up with a lot of stuff at the same time. Last two days been hectic.

We need to stop the cannibalism and all of the justifications. It's absurd.
