US War Crimes & Hypocrisy on Full Display: US Bomb Used in Saudi Slaughter - 24 Yemeni Civilians Dead, 10+ injured in coalition airstrikes
US bombs continue to be used in the ongoing US-backed Saudi slaughter of innocent civilians in Yemen, including women & children
(Screenshot: Hussain Albukhaiti Twitter. On October 24 a US bomb dropped on Hodeida city in Yemen kills 3 civilians including 1 child, injuring many more & destroying multiple vehicles.)
In August, CNN confirmed that a US MK-82 guided bomb was solely responsible for the slaughter of 40 Yemeni children and many other civilians, in a direct hit on a loaded school bus in the middle of a busy market in Yemen by US-backed, funded and fueled Saudi coalition warplanes. Public outrage over this heinous war crime ensued, but was short lived due to the corporate media sweeping this one tragedy along with the entire story of the US-backed Saudi genocide on Yemen back under the rug to be forgotten. Since then the slaughter has continued unabated, even intensified, still receiving the full support of the US; and until recently no further evidence had surfaced of US bombs being used in the Saudi coalition airstrikes which are to this day still systematically targeting civilians and civilian targets. In fact, a recent report found that "one civilian has been killed every three hours in fighting in Yemen since the beginning of August."
Earlier this week a series of US-backed Saudi coalition airstrikes in Hodeida, Yemen on Wednesday, October 24 are reported to have killed at least 24 civilians, with photo confirmation of a US bomb (seen in top photo) used in at least the one strike on Hodeida city in western Yemen responsible for killing three civilians including one child and injuring many more. All strikes were in Hodeida province and a result of the ongoing military effort launched by the Saudi coalition in June to take control of the strategic port city of Hodeida.
Independent Yemeni journalist Hussain Albukhaiti reported the news via Twitter:
Serial number match appears to specifically identify the bomb used as a GBU-12 Paveway II laser guided bomb, meaning the targeting of civilians was clearly intentional, and the coalition cannot possibly get away with using the excuse that the bomb simply missed its intended 'military' target like they maybe could have were an unguided bomb to have been used. Further, it is identified as having been manufactured by Raytheon, whereas the MK-82 laser guided bomb used in August was made by Lockheed Martin. Both of these war profiteers have a stake in the wholesale slaughter of Yemeni civilians it appears. Ben Norton explains how it is that different missiles use the same MK-82 wing casing in his article on this attack:
The bomb fragment has text written in English, which indicates that it was manufactured in the United States. The CAGE code on the fragment, 96214, clearly identifies it as a part made by Raytheon.
...
The text says it was made “for use on MK82” — a reference to the unguided Mark 82 bomb designed by US military contractor General Dynamics. The GBU-12, which is manufactured by both Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, is based on the Mk 82, but is guided and has additional parts. - GZP
It is worth noting that in both these cases, and indeed all Saudi coalition airstrikes on Yemen, that the US military is actively providing in-air re-fueling to the Saudi and UAE warplanes which directly enables the slaughter, as well as providing them with intelligence and targeting data used to carry out these massacres. If the US were to stop supplying arms and withdraw all of its support from this war, or even just stop its in-air re-fuelings, the Saudi coalition would simply not be capable of continuing its genocidal bombing campaigns across Yemen. These are not simply Saudi war crimes, they are also US war crimes, and it's about time the American public demand an end to the current US foreign policy of mass murder.
Since the beginning of the Saudi war on Yemen, the US has provided Saudi Arabia with at least 10,000 MK-series guided bombs (20,000 bombs total), and it would be extremely naive to assume that these US bombs are only used in those rare Saudi airstrikes in which US bomb fragments are later recovered by witnesses on the ground. It is not reasonable to assume that the Saudi Kingdom has obtained 20,000 US bombs during this war effort but has only used them on the half a dozen or so times their use has been confirmed. That would be absurd, but in many cases of Saudi airstrikes on Yemen there are no identifying bomb fragments left to be found, and so there is no story to be told of US bombs used in war crimes taking innocent life, and so the media is able to more easily ignore the genocide while the slaughter continues with the full support of the US government.

One scripted AP article did go out on the various MSM outlets regarding the market bombing, eventually updated to reflect the 21 civilians killed there, but not a peep about the US bomb which murdered an innocent child and two other additional civilians on the very same day, in the very same province, as a part of the very same military operation the authors of the AP piece discuss. They report the 10 injured in the market bombing on east Hodeida, but no mention of the "many more" injured in the strike across the city by a US bomb. The story doesn't seem to have gained any traction, and appears to have only garnered a brief mention by the major network channels.
Meanwhile there was quite the media circus recently generated over the brutal murder of just one single journalist by the Saudi regime, but the same regime has been committing mass murder against an entire civilian population while intentionally targeting women and children for over three years without generating the media coverage and international pressure on Riyadh that one single murder managed to accomplish in just a few weeks. This is of course also the same Riyadh regime which still regularly beheads citizens as a form of punishment, ignored and acceptable for Saudi princes apparently, however widely covered and demonized as the greatest evil the world has ever seen when it's ISIS chopping off heads and the US War Machine needs a new excuse for continued foreign intervention in Syria.
Ryan Cristian (@tlavagabond) in his article on these attacks did an excellent job illuminating the overwhelming government and media hypocrisy regarding events like these in relation to the 'news' fed to the masses as distractions from the true reality of the world; and sadly the eyes of too many American are still easily diverted from blatant US or Saudi war crimes to whatever distraction the government lapdog fakestream media presents as 'the news'.
What is truly frightening is the ability of the American people to ignore such obvious and numerous crimes against humanity being carried out with the direct and integral support of its government, while crying foul against the very same authoritarian government for the killing of one man; and then be so easily cowed away from both stories by the fraudulent mainstream media, as if they never occurred, due to some scare tactics and political manipulations. - Ryan Cristian, (article)
The obvious hypocrisy of US foreign policy in regards to the murderous Saudi Kingdom along with the blatant disregard for human life in Yemen by US leaders and western media should be more than enough to get the attention of the American people. Sadly it doesn't seem to be. What is even more frightening then, is the fact that this blatant hypocrisy and these US war crimes are not at all confined to the Saudi war on Yemen; and that despite this widespread and well documented criminal nature of the US Empire, the average American's attention is still far too easily diverted away from the numerous crimes against humanity committed by his or her government on a nearly daily basis, and onto whatever nonsensical political or entertainment drama of the day the media happens to be obsessing over.
Oftentimes this distraction is entirely fake news, or a false flag psyop like this week's trending pipe bomber story appears to be. Last week it was Khashoggi, the last time I made a similar themed post a few months ago it was on one day a painted donkey, and today it appears to be yet another shooting to keep us living in a state of fear, and as always has a very clear political agenda which goes beyond pushing for gun control.

At CNN, the pipe bombing story is still trending, but we've got a bigger story now, a shooting, those are almost always the most popular for a while! It was an anti-Semite and the attack was on Jews, oh no, I guess we will probably need to pass laws further banning any free speech which involves criticizing the state of Israel or the powerful Jewish lobby in America. I can see the media really running with this shooting distraction for a while, and the Zionists really capitalizing on it. 'Campbell Soup ousts VP who pushed Soros conspiracy' - that's the second to top CNN news story, following some helicopter crash, can't have crazy conspiracy theorists running a soup company I guess... And there's constant political talk being pushed to keep you distracted by the upcoming sham election, where Americans are essentially being asked to choose between either the right hand or the left hand of the evil dragon wishing to slay them.
Everything's gotta be either pro-Trump or anti-Trump, so polarizing, that way Americans don't unite against the evil machine, against the currency cabal raping them all, and especially relevant to the subject of this post, against the conscious US support of and war profiteering off the genocide of the Yemeni people.
The corporate lamestream media... When they're not acting as weapons of mass deception, they are busy being used as weapons of mass distraction, and I think one will find they are most often doing both at once. Whether it is by lies or manipulation, by distracting or ignoring, by smearing or censoring, the corporate media in this country is costing lots of innocent people their lives, and I think the Yemeni people for starters would agree this madness really needs to be put to an end. I think a lot more Americans would agree too, if they only knew. And that's why the corporate media has got to go.

Amazing work @jasonliberty - highly re-steemed!
You've complied some really solid facts and evidence. These atrocities and complicity by the U.S. in Saudi Arabia's WAR CRIMES are never reported by a corrupt and immoral mainstream media.
Well done my friend.
Thank you @libertyacademy, I do try :) One day, hopefully soon, all of us independent voices exposing the corporate presstitute media & the US/Saudi/Zionist war criminals will bring the US Empire to its knees. And I for one will be cheering when the truth eventually brings down this evil empire of deception, when the Zionist war machine finally breathes its last breath. Oh the day when humanity is finally be free, when love at last overpowers greed, and peace prevails. I just hope that day comes in our lifetime!
Take care & keep up all your great work for freedom, it too is much appreciated.
