I know this isn't exactly "news" in that the fight has been going on since earlier this year in the United States, when Ajit Pai (the new head of the FCC appointed by President Donald Trump) announced that he was planning to reverse the 2015 Net Neutrality decision (NY Times Article from April 26, 2017). I saw a Reuters Article today, which sparked my post.
If you are unsure of what exactly Net Neutrality means, I suggest taking some time to watch the two segments where John Oliver (comedian) discusses the impact of Net Neutrality. His first segment was back in June 2014 and he broadcast another in May 2017. While comedic in nature, they provide some useful facts about the argument in favor of Net Neutrality as it currently stands. You can watch these two segments for free on YouTube via the links in this paragraph.
