Music Today was created to streamline current Steemit Music operations, increase awareness of the Steemit Music community on this platform and others, and raise support for ongoing community activities.

Two awesome Steemit Music community events took place this past week.
The second Whaleshares Rap Battle was the most recent event completed this past week by the Steemit Music community. Out of the live contestants, four (4) Steemians received prizes consisting of 200 Whaleshares and 15 STEEM.
@rondonson got his first win of the season taking down @rest100 winning 75 Whaleshares + 6 STEEM for his efforts.

The next music event taken place last week was the Steemit Rap Challenge. The Rap Challenge is the premiere Steemit Rap movement and was founded by @rondonson and has paid out hundreds of SBD out to date to Steemians apart of the Steemit Music community.
Fifteen (15) Steemians took part in this epic music challenge hosted by @rondonson . @eddiebxxxx steamrolled through the challenge with brash lyrics, dope delivery, and epic energy beating @verbal-d for the victory and 30 SBD.

The second topic discussed in Music Today is the amazing entries from Steemians apart of the music community.
The goal is to provide these hard-working music producers with additional recognition and help stimulate ideas for the other contestants.

The Whaleshares Beat Battle features a similar rap battle format where artists will rap live against other Steemians via the Whaleshares Discord channel.

The goal of the Beat Battle Discord channel is to provide an atmosphere where Steemians can interact, bounce ideas off one another, and ask questions about the League.
Its a place where Steemians are chasing there dreams and are sharing information about their dreams. Already twenty-five (25) Steemians have joined the Beat Battle Discord channel it is off to a promising start.
