Legalizing pot was one thing, but mushrooms is something else.

Mushrooms are a great medicine!

Almost as good as some demes :P Good ol elf spice.

Break down the machine cogs and let the elves peek through the window. ;P

They simply grow naturally.

I don't think it's right to think of living things as evil, or illegal.

They are alive like us, and must be respected.

Some of the most noxious poisions that exist grow "naturally". I.E. Oriander, Nicotine, Ricin..... the list is obnoxiously long. I Only know this because I used to make the same point.

I don't think that those things are bad.

They evolved on Earth just like we did, so I don't think that there is anything wrong with their defense or breeding mechanisms. They do not hunt us. We choose to eat them, which makes us the noxious species.

If we choose to use the evolved aspects of a plant or animal, then that is our choice as a free person. Just as a tiger enjoys catnip, a person can enjoy mushrooms, or whatever else they choose to do.

It is up to us to educate ourselves, and make the choice to do a thing or not, knowing that it is perfectly fine either way.

Things that live in nature cannot be objectively bad. Nor should we judge a person for eating or using them, just as I do not judge you for the things you do.

To allow for true freedom, we need to allow each person to make their choice, and then be happy for them, instead of judging them, or violently assaulting them, stealing from them, or locking them away, as many institutions of power often do.

I've covered natural and unnatural in a video in the past, in conclusion I said that there is nothing in the universe that is unnatural though things can be synthesized or occur without human processing (occur "naturally" [naturally in quotations because to state something occurs naturally but then human processesing is unnatural is to state that humans are separate of nature, but that is not the case]).

I completely agree that there should be no regulations other than the information needed to put together a sound opinion and take the necessary actions to preserve one's life.

We choose to eat them, which makes us the noxious species.

Too true.

I always knew I liked Oregon. Been keeping my eye on them for a while in regards to the recreational movement.

Oregon is an extremely interesting state when it comes to laws. Laws are so easily changed and quickly added. Oregon has been making some very interesting strides towards progressiveness, but it seems like a farce with so many bigots still living here.

Unrelated but Oregon has the best strip clubs in the US IMO.

lol I've only ever been once to one strip club, and it was here - and it was amazing.

You are near the exotic garden of eden my friend. Booze, Bitches and bad hands of poker all at the same time.

Yeah...I hear ya. As much as I like the state, I've heard too many people say it's racist. Now I myself don't know if that's true or not...But what I do see is they tend to make laws in the favor that I see them, so...hmm...Just interesting.

The entire state was a KKK haven less than 50 years ago. The only state to make it illegal for black people to live there was Oregon which gave black folks 5 years to leave the state when the law was enacted, or every six months they'd be publicly beaten until they left.

This is such an odd state...

Sounds interesting. Hmm...racism seems to be rampant in every state and people seem so proud about it.

Not sure if it was a hoax but I saw where th UN is pleading with all nations to decriminalize all illicit drugs world wide to stop the drug wars. I worked in the medical field for 25 years or more and I am aware that Medical doctors in the USA are doing more harm than good. Treatment from a doctor is the 4th leading cause of death in the USA. This probably does not take into account immunizations and their long term affect on the population. They are dangerous plain and simple.

I saw something about this myself a couple of weeks ago. Very interesting stuff.

I'm all for it, but hoping it won't inspire any more new-comers to our already over-run state.

Hoping it'll inspire other states to enact similar policies. ;)
