Greetings and welcome to the official release of the #MinnowsUnite project! After a year of organizing pools of small fish to help one another grow, we have learned quite a bit and we want to share our knowledge and the rewards we're all swimming towards!

The #MinnowsUnite project's goal is to maintain 100% transparency while helping minnows band together to distribute rewards to well deserving pieces written by minnows.

We began our project a year ago first utilizing the Discord server, then moving to Steemit.Chat, and now with the Rocket Chat Server which hosts Steemit.Chat acting up we've set up another Discord server.

We are at this time opening the first tier to the pond to all minnows!

For those minnows looking to increase their rewards, we have our own curator bot with 40 curators currently following this account. With every upvote from our curation account there is a 10% chance that each curator will upvote. The upvotes vote weight from these 40 curators ranges between 5-50% for each vote.

When you register to join our pond, you will automatically receive an upvote from our currator account, @minnowpond, which will then cause the current 40 curators to be given the 10% chance of upvoting with a vote weight of 5-50% with every post that you author.

To register head to our Discord and type !addminnow [username].

Then head back on over to Steemit.com and send 1 SBD to the account @minnowpond.

Each user is then given a 1 hour grace period to transfer 1 SBD to the account @minnowpond, after which the user will have to contact an admin.

Once you have completed these simple steps for registration, for ONE WEEK @minnowpond will automatically upvote any authored posts, and each of the curators following @minnowpond will continue with their dice roll to see if they vote on your post. Each and every upvote from @minnowpond and the curators will always be given a random weight percentage to create a level of fairness, and to protect the voters' voting power.

Remember that this is a weekly subscription, as such you will need to send 1 SBD per week to continue receiving the upvotes from @minnowpond and its supporters.

You will not be required to register each week, only sending the SBD is part of keeping up the subscription.

We are working on updating the bot so that you will receive a comment on a post older than 10 days 24 hours before the 7th day passes to remind you of sending the 1 SBD to @minnowsunite to make this process easier.

All percentages may be adjusted according to how we grow and how it affects the voting power of the curators. All changes will be posted and made public.
