Needleworkmonday | My daughter's hat
I was inspired by @cryptocariad's project last week, I tried to make a hat for my daughter. I have a ball of thick black yarn just collecting dust anyway so why not crochet another project for my daughter. I learned two stitches in her post last week: the magic ring and the front post double crochet. Though I only used the magic ring for my daughter's hat.
The entire project was really fun especially whenever O call my daughter to check the fitting on her head.
I watched the video @cryptocariad shared and learned how to do the magic ring. I needed to watch this multiple times because I am left handed and the instructions are for right handed peeps. LOL. I was trying to imagine how difficult it was for my mom when she was still teaching me how to crochet. She's a righty, I'm a lefty. I can conclude that she's one awesome teacher.
I kept on calling my daughter to check the fitting. I wanted to make sure she'll be able to use this for a reasonably long time. I can't take a ohoto of her while fitting because the moment I let go of her, she would run away, unstitching the hat. :(
She is just too excited to wear her new hat. She only allowed me to remove it from her head when it was bath time. I had to hide it from her so she won't wear it during sleep time.

Great job on learning the new stitch and then putting it together to make such a cute hat! I'm a righty and have given up (for now) on understanding crochet stitches. :)

It has always been a struggle to me when trying to learn things that involve using the right hand. But after years, I got used to just having to repeat the instructions until it makes sense to a lefty like me. Haha
