Jason Kidd, Grant Hill, and Steve Nash to Headline 2018 NBA Hall of Fame Class

According to a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowksi, former NBA stars Jason Kidd, Grant Hill, and Steve Nash will headline the 2018 Hall of Fame class that will be officially announced this weekend at the Final Four in San Antonio.

The report also revealed that former Philadelphia 76ers star Maurice "Mo" Cheeks will also join the trio entering the Hall of Fame.

Kidd, who played for four teams in his career (Dallas, New Jersey, Phoenix, and New York) was the 94-95 co-rookie of the year with Grant Hill. Kidd was a 10-time All-Star and was named to the All-NBA 1st team four times in his 19-year career and is second all time in career assists.

Hill was a two-time national champion in college at Duke and was named an All-American his final two seasons as well. Hill's NBA career was hampered by constant injuries that many believed would keep him out of Hall of Fame consideration. Despite the injuries, Hill was named co-rookie of the year in the 94-95 season, was a seven time All-Star, and was named to four All-NBA 2nd teams and one All-NBA 1st team. Unfortunately, Hill will be remembered for what he could have been had injuries not hobbled him so young.

Nash, who was a two time Conference player of the year in college, is most well-known for his time with the Phoenix Suns under head coach Mike D'Antoni with their run and gun style of offense that was a precursor to the small-ball lineups we see in today's NBA. Nash is third all-time in assists behind only fellow Hall of Famers John Stockton and Jason Kidd. Nash was a two time NBA MVP in 04-05 and 05-06, an eight time All-Star, and made the All-NBA team seven times in his 18-year career.

According to ESPN: "Other finalists for induction into the Hall of Fame are Ray Allen, Chris Webber, Charles "Lefty" Driesell, Rudy Tomjanovich, Baylor coach Kim Mulkey, Katie Smith, Tina Thompson, longtime NBA official Hugh Evans and the 1953-58 Wayland Baptist University teams."

They've deserved their spot

Everyone on this list is well deserved to be in the Hall of fame. Legends of the game. Hill, Nash, Kidd and Ray Allen should be a lock to be inducted as their careers were exceptional. All of them contributed to the game in their own way, especially Nash who severely impacted how the game is palyed and the future of it.
