This is my first attempt at following my own challenge #nameinlights .
The purpose of name in lights is to highlight one of YOUR followers who you don't think is getting enough traction.

I have so many great followers that it is really hard to pick, but I decided to choose @beanz for my first post.

@beanz is just an amazing person in general.
Before meeting her, I had a completely different view of what feminism is.
I've come to realize that much of what I believed was just wrong. I was listening to a small and vocal subset of that community and believed I knew what the message was really all about. Turns out I was just wrong.
That was just my first conversation with her.
Since that time, I've developed a friendship with her and found that she is an artist, a poet and a free spirit, with a diversity of topics.

Today I've been reading her recent poetry and frankly, I'm beyond touched.
I'm not an emotional person in general, yet she found and surfaced feelings that I didn't know I had.

I literally have no idea what she's going to blog about next and this makes her incredibly interesting and in my opinion one of the most underrated creators on this platform.
The truth is, there is no way I can do her justice, but I wanted to bring her to your attention

How does one go about getting featured by you?
Well I go through and check in on my followers or if I happen to have an interesting discussion with you that ends insightfully or whatever.

You've got 105 followers, you should take the #nameinlights challenge and feature at least one a week that you believe isn't getting enough exposure.
Ha! Maybe I should! Unfortunately my followers haven't translated into much steem power gained... i haven't attracted the right kind of followers I guess :/
Well you have some of the biggest names as followers. Try a #nameinlights on someone with fewer followers and see what happens.
