I was at a coffee meeting earlier this week and it was not the best place for meeting of a big group. The place was next to a splashing fountain next to an open area with heavy human traffic at the basement of Raffles City, Singapore. Couldn’t hear much of what the person was saying. I stared up the glass ceiling and took this shot with my Samsung Galaxy S7.
我在前几天到加咖啡厅开会。其实也真不是开会的最佳场所。这个地方就在一个喷泉旁边又人来人往。是在的新加坡来福士城的地底层。大部分都听不到说话。人类交通繁忙。不能听到很多人在说些什么。盯上了玻璃天花板拍了这张。
Walking along | 走出去
After the meeting, was heading to another place to attend a talk on blockchain. It was 2 train stops away but I had lots of time. So, I decided to take a walk look for some street pictures and started with seeing this newly painted fire hydrant.
开会后，到另一个地方参加关于区块链的讲座。地点在两个地铁站外。 时间还很多所以，我决定走过去寻找一些拍街头照片的机会。一开始看到这个刚粉刷不久的消火栓。
Then I saw this plant with interesting coloured flowers. I don't know what it's called but took some pictures of it.
然后我看到这种植物与有趣色的花朵。我不知道它叫什么，但是拍了一些照片。
The National Gallery is decorated with red and white for National Day celebration and a red van happens to pass.
新加坡国家美术馆披上有红白色为庆祝国庆和一辆红色小货车刚巧经过。
Crossing the road to the Victoria Concert Hall and a "Duck" happen to passed. I had a black and white version posted before.
鱼"市"在外，用餐就在里面。
Towards the Esplanade Bridge, some work was done getting the lights ready for the Formula One race in September.
向往滨海桥的路，有工人在做一些工作准备灯的工作为了9月的第一方程式车。
Sculptures. No shadow trade here. A representation of the trading post Singapore used to be years ago.
雕塑。不是黑暗的交易。代表新加坡许多年前是个贸易站。
Walking across Cavenagh Bridge which was completed several years ago before many developments.
走过加文纳桥。是很多年前新加坡还没发展时就已经建了。
Singapore River which used to be where boats come in and out to load and unload for trade.
新加坡河用于船在那里进进出出而到附近的码头上下货。
Raffles Place is the area many financial institutions are located in the Central Business District.
莱佛士坊是很多金融机构都设办公楼在那里。
Further away, behind the Old Market here, I saw gold: a building with bright gold colour. And, I arrived at my destination.
越走越远，在这里的老巴杀。以前是指市场但现在改成食物阁楼。在它后面好像是黄金的建筑。再过点，我到达了目的地。

I have been through Raffles City Shopping Centre so many times over the four years I studied at SMU, and I nvr looked up and noticed that glass ceiling ;)
Lots of cool random shots as usual, @ace108! Love how you always take ordinary, overlooked items like the fire hydrant and immortalise them in a glorious pic :)
Raffles City seems to be doing some work inside. I suspect adding more shopping space.
The glass ceiling is when I sat at this cafe/restaurant at B1 where the escalator goes down to the fountain.
Guess I'll have to expressly drop by Raffles City just to see the new additions once I'm back in ol' SG :)
