Kindle & Koffe
Traffic started to nosedive early in the morning, everyone must be preparing for the new year as for me, am enjoying my unlimited coffee and good reads.
I also decided to get my self an egg and benedict sandwich for breakfast. Some of you know I occasionally eat breakfast and this is one of those occasions, lol. It's not like I didn't have two breakfast buffets during Christmas!
I bet everyone is excited for the coming year. So many things are rolling around in my head what this new year is holding. What have you guys planned to ring in the New Year?
Unlimited coffee is the best kind of coffee lol well, my plan for 2019 is making new mistakes and keep on reading and writing. Btw what are you reading now? (I'm reading Origin by Dan Brown)
For my new year, I'll just wish to be more decisive and to be so active in real life that the world starts literally revolving around me. :D
Haha cool
Am reading Replay by Ken Grimwood, it's a book about reincarnation
I haven't read any of Dan Brown's book lol
The synopsis makes it sound like a Groundhog Day setup but instead of a day, it's 25 years that get repeated eternally. What would you do if you died and reincarnated as a younger you? Apart from investing in Bitcoin.
Interesting subject. I've read a few about that, from Brian Weiss to Oriental religions. If you decide to read something of Dan Brown, I recommend you to start with "Angels & Demons"
Perfect match, for breakfast, @purepinay.

What do you celebrate your New Year as?
In my house, we sit at a table chatting and singing, we have dinner, and then we wait for the New Year at the table. We set 12 grapes for each person, 1 for each month of the year, and when the New Year comes, we wish each other a new year, lots of hugs, and then we eat the grapes while asking a wish with each one.
The meals we eat are mostly the same as we eat for Christmas celebration: hallaca, pan de jamón (literally 'ham bread'), dulce de lechosa (literally 'papaya confection') and ensalada de gallina (literally 'hen salad' [like female chicken]). All of this with red wine.
That sweet that you guys sing at your table, I don't think my family ever did that but that's a wonderful thing to do. We don't do it with the grapes too, we just buy 12 different fruits that are round, they say it's for good luck.
Filipino food never use red wine but most dishes we add a hint of sugar lol
Wow! Such similar traditions.
Land of diabetes :D
