It is a combination of folk song, folk dance and folk tune, for example Baul songs. Folk song are composed and performed by illiterate or semi-literate people, either in groups or individually. It is a spontaneous expression in easy language, local dialect and simple tune. These songs tell us about social inequality and poverty, about the material world and the supernatural. The folk song artist use musical instruments like ektara, dotara, dhol, flute, sanai, etc. On the other hand, the modern music is developed by the education and cultured class. The modern musicians express their refined thoughts through their songs. They use modern instruments like harmonium, piano, guitar, keyboard, drum, etc. As more and more people are getting educated and western influence is growing on their mind, modern music is gradually becoming more and more popular in the country.
