Get Some Jazz Steemit #5 - Christian Scott
Hey Steemit!
Here I am, again, recommending some music for you to hopefully enjoy.
Today I've chosen the unique Christian Scott with my favourite song of his, called "Littany against Fear".
There are many unique things about Christian Scott, one of them is that he builds his own trumpets, that might call your attention when watching him perform live, because in some cases you don't really know what he is holding on his hands!
I was fortunate enough to see him perform live in NY in a festival and it was a blast. Not only for the music they played, but also for the charisma he has on stage.
You would see him yelling at the drummer in the middle of his solo to encourage him, you would see him trying to rise the music the band was playing by standing almost face-to-face with the soloist in place and asking for "more".
It was truly special, you don't get to see someone with such a determination on stage that often, and believe it or not, it even encouraged the audience to feel what was going on in a differente, more intense way.
He is a long-note trumpet player mostly, so he relies on the rhythmic base to be more active during solos and even melodies.

Hey @matiasmenarguez nice piece. Before I started player the alto saxophone i was a trumpet player. I was actually quite good but if you know anything about omnisure with the brass section using the smile tight lips and a woodwind been more of a pout it actually changed the lip muscles so I found my high end register on trumpet more difficult to reach. Not many players do both trumpet and sax there are exceptions. I can feel the atmosphere this guy must have on stage very nice. I also am giving you the heads up because you sent me a vote that carried no weight yesterday and evn though i have only been here 4 weeks, I have figured out a few things that people are getting wrong but im going share an educational video thats going to give you access to a couple of tools that will help that i did about 9 years. If I see anyone with genuine value not realising they are making a few errors I would rather help them than see them get discouraged okay so let me know when you get this and keep it up :)
