I started Open Mic to bring together musicians from around the world to play and sing in a casual, fun contest. The response has been enthusiastic and spontaneous with more talented musicians joining from around the world.

Together with sponsorship from the uber generous @pfunk and the Steemit community, this contest looks like something people want and need on this platform and I'm happy for all the support Open Mic has been getting from everyone.

I also want to thank Project Curie @curie for selecting some of the people who have entered Open Mic last week into the Curie curation trail. This really helps new artists and users on Steemit and I can't thank them enough.

So far Open Mic has earned some great rewards for people who have entered. Here's a screenshot of the earnings of the openmic tag in its first 10 weeks.
