Gord Downie announced earlier this year, that he is battleing terminal brain cancer. So It was an emotional farewell,in Kingston Ontario and coast to coast, this Saturday night Aug.20th 2016 ! As this was the last stop on the Man Machine Poem tour.Ending their journey since the early 80 s right wher they began in Kingston Ontario!
The sold out concert was attended by our Prime Minister ,Justin Trudeau along with many fans paying homage!
Tens of thousands of fans from the Rogers K rock centre, as well as 100s of live simulcasts across Canada and beyond , watched as lead singer Gord Downie capping off his career with showmanship ,with skill, determination and grace!as we just witnessed a moment in history! As the air of the exhibition grounds were filled with emotion as the glittering silver clad poet played, and the fans swayed to the music of that era! And wept under the stars as he crooned! I wish i could have been there but i did watch on the big screen here British Columbia Canada 2,000 miles away! And it was fantastic!

I'm not familiar with these guys but my heart goes out to those who are battling with cancer and terminal diseases. It's hard for the patient and the family as well. But life is what it is. I can see he made his mark in Canadian history. His contribution will be cherished.

And i myself lost 4 family members to cancer, so i know first hand what the families go through. But i am very happy at how far weve come in cureing cancer, and how many more people are now living longer! 😉✌👌👍🎼🎶🎸🎵♩
Yes, science has made so much breakthrough in curing cancer. And I'm sorry to hear about your loss. But healthy habit, health food are the best way to stay away from cancer.
