Well, this contest is starting off a little slow, but we got some participants anyway!

It was a hard decision to make, but her story came out on top. Since only two steemians entered, I’ll call @karenmckersie the runner up and award the 2nd and 3rd place prized to her. Basically, these ladies will split the winnings.

Since the first post only paid out $0.025 steem and the second post $0.01 steem at the first reward payout, I’m choosing not to let them split 3 1/2 cents, and instead I transferred them each $1 SBD so far. Additionally, they will split the first reward payout from this post, so the more upvotes it gets, the bigger their prize. (At least the entry by @anxietymaven made $6.937 steem when she posted it; that's a nice bonus.)

The plan is to have this be a weekly contest, so if you have a tattoo that has a story behind it, enter this week. Not only can you get paid for your post, you could get paid even more if your story wins.

Here’s a breakdown of the official rules:

TO ENTER:

• Take a current photo of the tattoo that you are entering. (This should be YOUR tattoo, not a friends or one posted on the internet.)

• To verify your entry, display a sheet of paper with “Tattoo Story Contest Entry” written on it next to the tattoo in the photo. (Again, G rated only)

• Write up the story behind your tattoo; you don’t even have to like the tattoo anymore to enter.

• Name your post Tattoo Story Contest Entry along with whatever else you want to call it.

• Post the verified photo with the story in #tattoostorycontest & #contest, plus whatever other categories you find appropriate.

• Post your entry prior to Saturday at Midnight CST.
