💃 "Libra" and my favorite model
Last June I was invited to participate at the "Pigmalion" art colony in southern Serbia, a truly wonderful experience!
My painting for the project was "Libra", the zodiac sign the organizer of the colony, the beautiful lady, modeling for my rather unusual interpretation of it and I have in common.
I feel like the luckiest guy on earth, since she is also my wife and I fall in love with her again, every time I see her :-)
She often models for my paintings, but since she has her own business it can be quite a challenge to get a date for a photo shooting ;-)
For "Libra" it worked well, and Karin also joined me on the trip to the "Pigmalion" art colony. We had a lot of fun with the other artists and Karin was also very creative. One day, she asked @kathrina-sofie, to "tattoe" the colony logo on her arm with an eyeliner. Another day, she suggested, to take a photo of her, combining herself with the painting, she modeled for:

How good to see that man and woman are co-creative with each other. Too often, married couples are in competition with each other. I have the impression with both of you that you can inspire, correct and leave each other alone. Married people who master, pull and squeeze, hold on and let go of this dance live in a stable relationship for many decades. We Western egocentrics often throw in the towel when the first difficulties arise. Which doesn't necessarily mean that separation isn't something that can happen. But you can also separate and remain friends. The modern male-female relationship is so difficult because it allows little interference. If both have separate professions and everyday life, a high degree of communication is required. You have to talk to each other to understand each other's everyday life. Working and managing together, artistic activity makes it easier to get to know others as they really are. And not to construct a picture out of the second hand stories about working life, of which one can only be disappointed later.
It's nice that you share this aspect here with all of us.
P.S. I like the glasses she wears :)
We are very fortunate that the normal state is harmonious and we hardly ever argue, if at all. Of course we don't have the same opinion all the time, but that is quite alright and we accept each other the way we are :-)

She looks like person filled with energy and good positive life power @reinhard-schmid, that smile can't be ever faked. But, to say true since I see you as a person who loves to make jokes and take fun of life sometimes, somehow I wouldn't imagine with someone much different.
Positive life power, that is exactly it. To me she represents life itself.
Funny thing is, I had been with someone, who was quite the opposite.. obviously I have no good memories of the time ;-)
I think that myth about differences that attracts is worst thing ever...they do, but it doesn't last long..been there done that :)
And love how you described your wife, as life represent , she really shines :)
Agree completely... the "unknown" (difference) might be different at first, but long term its only wearing you down.

Awe, so nice of you to say that 💗 There are quite a few more paintings with her in it. Funny thing is, people here are so used to see her in my work, that they even see her also, when it is someone else!

What an amazing way to be captured into art. You two seem such a beautiful couple and two libras! You must constantly try to make one another happy and balanced!
@winstonalden is an air sign and I a water so we don't always see eye to eye, his heads in the clouds and mine is under the sea ;)
Trying to "make one another happy and balanced" is a great way of putting it. Having the deep wish to make the person you live with happy is a good foundation... as long as its equal and neither one abuses that. Although I have to admit, that I enjoy it, that she spoils me in more than one way ;-)
