Jen's Movie Review: Kingsman- The Golden Circle

in #movie7 years ago

I’m back with my movie review. Shortly after I came home after my trip, I went to watch Kingsman- The Golden Circle: I don’t like to be behind in watching movies by the way, as I love to spend my time finding good film.

Trailer

When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, the Kingsman's journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US. These two elite secret organizations must band together to defeat a common enemy. IMDB

Verdict

3.5/5

Review

Expectations are high for this movie after its 2015 predecessor. If you are watching, treat this as an action comedy movie. Otherwise you can be in complete dissapointment. There are a lot of scenes where it just defy the law of physics and is questionable that reminds me of old movie such as ‘Charlie’s Angel’.

Not that similar but my point is that some scenes are heavily dramatize. One example is the cable car scenes which defy the very basic of physic making you question whether is it a part of the joke.

Political and Sexism

This movie tackled the issue of Politic and Sexism. Dirty politic over drug issues has been played in the White House certainly as a sarcasm over political issue in America. On sexism, Halle Berry as an agent for the ‘Statesman’ played the role of unfavored agent that were denied to be a field agent because of her gender.

Channing Tatum and Sir Elton John
Channing Tatum featured was less than what it is expected. I was hoping for more of him. On the contrary, the great Sir Elton John had more scenes than Channing. Comedy over his character was the highlight of this movie.

Overall

The funny scenes in this movie is good for leisure. Afterall, that is one of the reason why we watch movie. Sit back and enjoy!

I have watched both the sequel and the earlier one. I must say that the first movie was better. What I can't understand is that if you locate your drug hideout in the middle of the jungle, will you put all these lights and signs to make the place very conspicuous?

Lol. Yes you are right. In this sequel, pepper seems to be over the limit with her jungle city. Looks like a circus inside the jungle. Shouldn’t it been more discreet. But then this sequel seems not that serious for me. Making sense is not a priority I think
