Coloursplash - Monomad Tuesday Entry - Street

I've had my eye on the #monomad contest rule "Colorsplash edits are allowed" for some time now... This was a good occasion to take advantage of it :)

I took a walk through my city on a rainy morning. Since it was a working day, plus it was raining, people were walking through the street fast, minding their business. Most of the umbrellas were black, or at least dark, just like the whole atmosphere of the dull, wet, cloudy, middle week day...

So, this umbrella was giving colour, not only to the scene, but to the whole world in fact :)

I saw this lady before she entered the frame and I already knew I wanted to make a “coloursplash” edit in postproduction. I waited for her to enter into this frame because I also wanted to catch the sky reflection on the wet paved floor. It gave a bit more light and life to the scene...

Anyway, that’s my entry for the contest hosted by @monochromes, for the Tuesday topic “Street”.
