MSP Blacklist Reasons - Why can I not use the upvote bots?

Why did I end up on the MSP Blacklist?

So, you have found yourself on the Blacklist here at MSP? You want to know what could have possibly caused you to suddenly be prevented from using our free upvote bot? Not only that, but you find that all unpaid @minnowsupport upvotes have been removed?

I am going to explain some of the information we are frequently asked about this.

For those that are wondering, you can determine if you are on the Blacklist by checking the status of whether or not @minnowsupport has you muted. This is how we operate the Blacklist.

Here is the list of possible reasons for you to have ended up in this situation.

You can also consider this a list of things not to do if you want to continue to use our upvote bot.

The Possible reasons for becoming Blacklisted:

• Low Quality Content:
  • Copy-Pasted content: Taking most of the information from another article and providing very little additional information of your own.
  • Low-effort content: Posting just images, a few images and no words, an embedded video and little commentary, or anything else that might be seen as low effort.
    
    
• Plagiarism:
  • Stealing the entire content of another creator, on Steemit or otherwise. Even if you only list a source, you are likely to end up in the above 'Low Quality Content' category. This likely got you banned from PALnet as well.
    
    
• Multiple Account Abuse:
  • The attempted circumvention of our 12 hour cool-down through multiple accounts. This will lead to a ban from PALnet anyways, we just Blacklist for good measure.
    
    

What can I do to get taken off the Blacklist?

• First:
  • Nothing is going to happen instantly. We always let a Blacklist entry stick for a couple weeks at least. Don't expect an instant removal from it.
    
    
• Second:
  • If the reason you were muted is due to the content of your posts, the simple answer is to improve it. Ask members of our community what you can do to improve your posts. It's why we don't ban you for this example, we want you to learn from us.
    
    
• Finally:
  • If you have been banned from PALnet and Blacklisted along with it, you need to find and contact a member of leadership on the MSP Probation server.
