Hope you are doing great. I am writing this blog today to make you aware about the fake people giving you away BTC or ETH or other coins. Just be cautious while dealing with these folks. In this virtual social media world, you will find many hackers and fake users who are waiting for the opportunity to steal money from people like you and I. If you come across any such post,video,blog who is promising to give you huge amount of crypto coins for which they ask you to send some sample amount, don't be trapped. Just ignore that and move ahead.

Here are some posts which clarifies how these culprits are making use of popular platforms/famous personality to loot ordinary people.

Look at the deliberated spelling mistake in the word Electroneum. This is clear signal of fraud.

Here is one more.

This guy is giving away 5000 BTC under the name of Steemit. They also put some clauses like below

1. This is only applicable for these number of transactions
2. Once giveaway amount is exhausted, you will get your amount back on your address.

Looking and reading at these clauses some people may feel that it is a genuine post and we should take part in it. But soon they realize that they have been trapped.

I am not saying all the giveaways are fraud. There are some YouTubers or Steemians who are genuinely doing give away for their audience for promotion, charity or other reasons. Hats off to such hosts. :)

Someone created an account on the name of ETH founder Vitalik Buterin and looted people. When Vitalik got to know this duplicate account using his identity, he changed his account name as below.

So you need to stay away from fake give away and be safe.
